I’m kind of over natural hair products because they are so expensive ($17?!?) for 8 oz bottles, so small! And most of the time, the moisture lasts for no longer than a day. I went back to water and grease and my hair is thriving and my pockets have stopped crying 🤷🏽♀️
@MADCURLS7 жыл бұрын
Ash_brii Yes, “Natural” Hair Products are definitely a big business. Water and grease?? OK, I guess whatever works for you 😂😊➰💕➿ That combo would weigh our hair waaaay down, but we definitely hear you with the cost of these products. Outrageous, at times! 😳

As soon as TaylorAnne said “spray it in your hand” I thought “Why didn’t they just package it in a squirt bottle then?” I was so glad once you took the spray nozzle off. I don’t know why companies package things for looks & not functionality these days. I also think it is interesting that SM packaged this product as silicone free when all of their products are & have always been silicone free. Seems a bit gimmicky when all of their leave ins are silicone free.
@eboniw37 жыл бұрын
missmemssme I think SM only made a big deal about it being silicone free since it’s kind of a dupe for the “It’s a 10” product which has silicones in it. Also, some of SM’s products have what’s called a “silicone blend” it’s in a lot of the Jamaican Black Castor Oil and the Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil products..it’s a silicone/protein mix that started putting in a few of their products. I was so sad! My hair is very silicone sensitive 😩
@MADCURLS7 жыл бұрын
missmemssme Yeah, we popped that fancy squirt nozzle off, that thing was not working for us we had to get to the product😂. I’m not sure why they chose to highlight the words “silicone free”. Like we mentioned in our video we don’t turn products over and read the ingredients so SM always being silicone free with their conditioners is news to us tbh. Thank you for watching us 😊➰➿💕

🤣😂TaylorAnne is ready to start...and LoriAnne keeps talking about the terry cloth towel and getting off topic...which I love! Priceless! Yes, I keep seeing the comparisons with It's a 10, which I don't care for. I try not to use silicones, but they are not the devil (I think people exaggerate...), you just have to know why you're using them. They can be useful, I do have some products with water soluble silicones. I don't follow any specific method, I just do what my hair wants, she's the boss! 😁As long as you clarify your hair, silicones are fine. For me, this product is a little late in the game, especially for Shea Moisture. I don't know why they insist on the words Silicone free, as if they put some in their previous products 🤔 I'm confused about this product, I thought it was a detangler... i saw this & was like "$18 um no no shea moisture". idk what's going on after that huge buyout with them. on the "cg" method it explains how you shouldn't use NON water soluble silicones because they can build up on the hair shaft and create a barrier blocking out moisture. only way to remove is a sulfate shampoo which can be drying. i have experienced this with madam cj walker curl soufflé cream! my curls looked amazing but became dry and so brittle over time. *checks ingredients*. i am not very strict on the method but i use whatever works and switch up brands too! so please keep the reviews coming!

M.A.D.CURLS Hi LorieAnn, Yes you have fans from all over the world ! That the beauty with social media ! You should come with TaylorAnn to the Natural Hair Academy event on June 9th in Paris. They generally invite KZbinrs from the US. I am a fan of Camille Rose, also ( i have about 9 different hair products from that brands and they are all staples!) 😂. It s been over a year i am using CR and i no longer have dry hair. If Taylor Ann like As I am she should try Keracare (same company but products have ayurvedic ingredients). For instance the Asiam leave in is in a smaller bottle and more expensive but as the same consistency and product performance as the Keracare...i initiated one of my cousin to that product line and she loves it (almost same curl as Taylorann, justa bit looser). Mind you she loves Camille Rose too. I hope i will meet both you at one of these events , one day. Meantime i will keep watching you. Thank you for your positive response !! And remember PARIS loves you !!! 💕💕😊

Hi girls, nice video again!😉 I don't use silicones because the only way to wash them out is using a shampoo that contains sulfates. And i really think that sulfates are harsh for your hair and scalp. I use a mild sulfate free shampoo. I think this is the mane reason why naturals avoid silicones, because you can't rinse hem out with a mild shampoo

I have fine low porosity 3c/4a hair. Silicones cause buildup for me after just one use. My hair looks good for that one wash, but if I don't use sulfates to wash it out when I go to do my hair again, my hair is frizzy and dry; while I'm in the shower, it gets wet but not soaking wet. And I wash my hair too often to use sulfates every time. I think you guys probably don't care either way because you guys are high porosity.
@eboniw37 жыл бұрын
Alexandria East I have the same issue as you & I have high porosity hair. During a haircut I got a while back, the (DevaCurl) stylist was washing my hair and asked me if I use silicones in my hair, I thought I was silicone free. My hair had become frizzy and wash-n-gos lasted a day or so before random hairs would straighten out and look stringy (hence my belief I needed a haircut) I discovered that my Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor oil leave in had a silicone/protein mix in it and it was wreaking havoc on my hair! 😩 Recently I tried the Ouidad Featherlight Style Cream and had the same issue, sure enough it has silicones 😞

Eboni W. Selkridge annoying right? I wonder why that happens for us and not others if it's not a porosity issue

Alexandria East perhaps, we still aren’t quite understanding this whole porosity thing. We were just told the other day we. Hold be medium porosity. 😊 We don’t know what we are. We thought we were night porosity. We just know products work for us of every brand except that horrible CRN Leave -in Collection fail 😂😂😂 but I’m still working with that collection. I’m going to figure it out -LoriAnne 🌺
@alex14627 жыл бұрын
M.A.D.CURLS it's possible that like everything in this world, it's truly based on a combination of factors, porosity, density, strand size, etc. For example, people say low porosity naturals shouldn't use proteins in their products because it causes protein overload. But I love proteins; even though I'm low porosity, my fine strands love the support. This is why I think people should try products without KZbin bias like you said because you never know what's going to work for you. But one should also learn about ingredients because it's a learning experience to know what to avoid and to gravitate towards in the future. Edit: I feel like listening to your hair (which ingredients, methods, and routine work) is more important that categorizing it (porosity, density, etc). But it helps those in the community find a good place to start.

Angie Weekes Tbh.....right off the top of our heads, none that we can think of. The products that we commonly are drawn to do not put garbage in their products anyway so, though we may not be 100% cognizant of every ingredient, we are pretty certain of the brand and what they ascribe to. They may not fall under the “ Curly girl” method but they don’t, in our opinion load their products down with garbage either or our hair would not be as healthy as it is right now, as much as we wash and review 😊➰➿💕 Thank you for watching us and commenting. 🌺

Mom said you can put it on your shelf, I was laughing so hard, too funny but on a serious note I pray you ladies consider doing research and learning about what certain chemicals in products can possibly do to us over time every person is different but is it worth finding out , some people can smoke like a broke stove and live forever while others die of horrible deaths from smoking or using baby powder I love the videos but I love you more

Sherry Robinson Awww........ Thank you for your concern. We hear what you’re saying. Maybe one of these days we will take more of an interest in ingredients but for now we simply don’t. Can you imagine if we did, our comment section would be inundated with questions about ingredients. That alone would be overwhelming 😂😂😂Thank you for watching us 😊➿💕➰

Life is to short to pick apart the world run and hide most of these ingredients are safe and if there is a slight chance the are some that are dangerous the cars driving around will affect your intake of toxins much more

I would love to see y’all invite a friend or relative that’s a kinkier natural like 4b or 4c just to see the comparison between y’all every once in a while.

Cierra Harrington Now, THATS a great idea. Thank you for the suggestion. We have spoken about it, now we just have to find someone. People in our family are still slaves to the relaxer 😂😂😂

How many days of wear did you get outta this product? Do you remember?
@MADCURLS6 жыл бұрын
Leslie Lebron we sorta remember. But, as you know, us being product testers we sacrifice the length of days to continuously produce content, so we almost rest daily, therefore we wash products out the next day. However, in this case, we liked the Wash and Go, but we felt it was a little light and the hold wouldn’t last until the next day. We were so unimpressed that we ended up giving this product away to a woman who’s texture was a 2. We felt it would suit her hair better 🤓🦁💕

M.A.D.CURLS That's what I thought, that the hold would be too soft. Thx! 😚😚

What a strange delivery system for this product. Why put it in a spray bottle if it's meant to go in the palm of your hand anyway?

It might work on the Caucasian hair? If you have any friends that are in the caucasian community with curly hair bringing them on your channel and tried this product on their hair?!?!

Tbh, the Taliah Waajid had waaay better results and it's cheaper. I can't justify spending that much on a leave in and that small bottle.

You used too much product (on the right). The nozzle is there for a reason.
