Hi Wendy, we bought our granddaughter an American girl doll when she was a little girl. She just turned 17 this month. I think I enjoyed buying all the outfits for the doll as much as she enjoyed getting them. It was like reliving my childhood. They even had a set up at a mall where we live that you could go and take your doll to get her ears pierced which we did with our granddaughter and she had so much fun. 😊

I have a lot of envelopes, Wendy, so I am loving this series! I made the first two and will be trying this one later today. I have always loved dolls. I used to make them when I was in my early teens and if I had granddaughters, yes, I would be playing with them! Not weird at all. If you crochet, there are free patterns for outfits for American Girl dolls.

I love these folders. I plan on making several. I was just talking with my 31yo daughter today and we decided to plan a doll playdate. It is such a pleasure to still have the time together. If you don't have one get a copy of Tasha Tudor's The Dolls Christmas to share. It is a darling story and the illustrations are wonderful.

These are really neat. I'm enjoying the one envelope wonders. I'm very glad to hear that your back is improving! I didn't have an American Girl doll but I remember my Mom getting one for my niece. And as you said, so many cute things to go with the doll. This was back in the 90's, so I'm sure there is more now! (Both my Mom and my Grandma had dolls of their own. I still have my Barbie doll. I'm from the era where we just had one Barbie!)

Love this video and the Envelope Wonder Series. I have so many junk envelopes - now to give it a try. What wonderful memories you are making with your granddaughters. That is so very special. My girls still have 2 of the six original American Dolls. They loved them. Good news that you are feeling better and getting better sleep. Makes a world of difference, for sure!

So happy to see you back. It’s wonderful your back is so much better. 😊💕😊 I got all of my granddaughters the American Girl dolls and one for myself so we could play together. I bought outfits etc.. and I even made them more clothing. It is so much fun! My oldest granddaughter is now 17 but her favorites were fashion Barbie dolls and we each had sets of them to play with. I miss those days with her. Enjoy it all! 💕💕💕 Love this series too! 💕😊💕

Hi Wendy, I often use envelopes as base for pockets but never cut them open. I made one like yours while I watched the video...and what can I say? Good idea girl 🤩👍🤩👍 I used antique book pages and in the inside a rose from Redoutes Roses...looks beautiful as well. Now I have to chose the lace or the fabric! Can't use the hastag because I haven't a YT channel 🤷♀ ...and by the way...I love when your tell story from your grandchildren!!! I'm over the moon because my son and his wife are pregnant and at the end of June I will be grandmother for the FIRST time and it's a boy 💃💃💃💃💃 Hugs Victoria from Lake Constance South Germany

Which shop is Sharon Herth (sp?) I'm glad to hear your back is better. I'm not sleeping well so I'm watching several of your videos using envelopes and loving these ideas! I've always loved envelopes but not in the crafty light. It's amazing what you can do and what we haven't thought even yet. Thank you for the tip on the fabric. For Easter when I was growing up 1950s, my mom sewed dresses for us to wear with ankle socks with lace and white shoes. We lived in Fresno, CA and it was usually pleasant so we didn't need sweaters. White gloves too! I see pictures now and they're so funny, but we loved those dresses. My mom was an excellent seamstress. Those were sweet days.

When my granddaughters liked to play with Barbies I’d sew clothes for them. I never liked Barbies when they first came out…the body proportions seemed weird…those tiny feet were creepy to me. When I was in my 60’s, I got my first Barbie. She’s one with the more normal body. My granddaughters and I would play Barbies, and we even had a fashion show. I really like your envelope series. ❤
