Yep. Or say rape, sexual assault, Murder, Kill... it’s stupid! By the time these events are being referred to- the victims are already victims of sheer brutality. Who are we protecting from the reality of hearing what was done to the innocent? The perpetrators that can plead for mercy again and again after they offered their victims NONE!

For all the people saying they wish the bodies could be recovered - it's completely unethical to ask other people to risk their lives to bring a dead body back. In the death zone your body is actively dying. The clock is ticking. It's a superhuman physical and moral effort to rescue a living person from the death zone. Let alone a dead body.
@ANNEKE1999
@ANNEKE1999 3 ай бұрын
And I bet most people know that the death zone is - indeed - deadly. But wishing that these bodies were recovered doesn't mean it has to be done. I hope the same for the friends and families of the fallen but I would never ask a person to do so.

Unethical is leaving people on the summit of a mountain to die so you can bask In the glory of saying I climbed Everest. If there is a god he will be looking down on that and saying what a shame. Would be much more glory if someone picked up the fallen and gave there chance of self gratification to save a life, that would be an achievement

@@robkemp091983 he describes the Death Zone on mount Everest pretty good and you still doesn’t want to understand. They dont leave people up there to die because of the fame but because they want to save their lives. Trying to save a Body from up there means Death for you to in most of the cases. Before you climb that mountain you will be trained and you know exactly what you have to do in all cases. They all know they risk their lives and are on their own as soon as they are in the Death Zone, before they start climbing. According to your theory, an entire group would always have to die because one person didn't make it.

Why go up there when you have a slim to nothing chance at even getting halfway there stop climbing these places some place are not meant for you to climb the dead is probably playing a big role into people not reaching the top but to reach death instead the place is got spirits that are probably still roaming around and some spirits are not evil and they haunt the place so just stop climbing the mountain the mountain want’s to be at peace and not have people leaving dead bodies behind. Common sense too.

I Ised to be so fascinated by the climbers of Everest, but tbh the more i learn about it in recent years the more i'm starting to dislike the achievement in it's form today. Everest isnt about exploration anymore. Its about personal ego. Thats fine, but there comes a point where the human cost starts to outweigh that, in my opinion. The base camps are getting more crowded every year. And the requirements to climb have also dramatically decreased in recent years, leading to novice climbers on the mountain. Then there's the sherpas. They guide every group of climbers, carry out the bulk of the rescue/recovery work, and maintain the routes. B/c of that they're the ones at the highest rislof death by far. (1/3 dead climbers are sherpas) Yet they never really get credit on these climbs, and used to go completely unnamed in the record. Even now the achievements only really go to the western climbers they guide. Idk, i just wonder if its time to put aside this cultural obsession with everest. [Edit] For the folks thinking im some casual complaining about a beloved sport, yes i'm casual climber, but I still tremendously respect the entire sport and the human drive to summit the earth's mountains. It's just the culture that's developed around Everest specifically that's puts a bad taste in my mouth.

You're right..the Sherpas are the one risking their lives for each and every expedition...yet they're so underpaid..some contract must be signed between the tourist climbers and the Sherpas so that in every successful summit and extra/bonus should be given to them .. they're there for the money not for fame..this is how they support their family...I wish they could be paid more money ..🙏

Do you think their family doesn’t think about them? Especially if they were a parent. You as a father should know better than that but it seems you have the same mindset as the other fools whose bodies litter that mountain. Who didn’t stop to think how their passing would affect their children, families and loved ones. Because losing a loved one is something we never heal from especially if it’s a parent or a child. Perspective wise, is it though? 8 billion people on the planet, and 800 try to summit a year. That number is tiny. The amount of people that have died on Everest? Get ready: 330 people. Yup, only 330 people in the nearly 100 year history of expeditions on Everest. Your perception of Everest has been warped. Please do some reading on the subject. Yes it has been commercialized to all hell, yes it is being trashed every single year; but no, it is not "getting out of hand."
@stargazer2019

@@TheDonBostonthey are living on that mountain for months , trashing it with their tents and rubbish and the Nepalese government who issue permits have been issuing more than they should and to less accomplished climbers than they should, simply because of greed and now they are receiving the repercussions by having to do major clean ups and body retrievals, the ice is melting washing bodies down the valleys And there's queues on the hillary step.... thats the bloody death zone... when there's people queuing for over an hour on the most dangerous part of Everest waiting to get a picture at the summit I'd say its seriously out of control. I'd also say it wouldn't hurt for you to do more research on this subject. Take your own advice on that. It's all well and good interjecting your view but your missing out big statistics here. Your making out in over 100 years only 330 people have died , why don't you answer how many people make it to camp 4 and out of those people how many have died. Since 1953 there have been 11,996 summits of Everest on all routes by 6,664 different people. Bare in mind that number includes the sherpa, one sherpa has summited Everest 27 times. Basically the total amount of people who have gone to Everest 1% have died 4% have summited those statistics are terrible... should we add how many people have lost fingers limbs etc, maybe include the people who get altitude sickness or snow blindness etc. Very few people leave that mountain in good condition.

I couldn't see anything, not even anything close to me, I had to feel my surroundings with my right hand as my left hand and leg were damaged. My whole body was in pain and I was scared until I noticed a small pinpoint light in front of me it was bigger and bigger then it enveloped me I realised it looked like a tunnel of light blue/white cloud, I had a flash of my life before I drifted towards the light at the end of the tunnel. I had no pain and felt at ease, I thought this wasn't bad and continued travelling toward the light until I was stopped and immediately returned to my broken body because God said I had a second chance to finish my life before I was ready. My grandfather who passed 20+ years, was there with me until the Police discovered me. I know of God but was never a believer until that night that changed me. • It took me 30 years to find the right Christian church because so many were corporated, manipulative and corrupted as forewarned by God.

I don't think he cares about that now . When a person dies , he either "dies in Christ" or he "dies in his sin ." The first , puts you in the presence of Jesus Christ . The second puts you in hell temporarily, then it's on to the Lake of Fire forever . Revelation 20 : 11-15 I don't wish that on anyone , more importantly neither does the God who created those mountains . Where will you go when you die , heaven or hell ?

@@sheilagravely5621 it’s a matter of perspective, I almost died at a young age and it made me ask some tough questions. I gained a new perspective that our days are limited and some thing you have no control of can end it literally any day. So yeah it may seem stupid, but I say climb that mountain, take that dive into the deep water, go where the path is unknown because that’s where we find true life, where we challenge ourselves and renew our spirit. I’ve seen sights and wonders few people ever do, I could never imagine my life or faith without my adventures, the risks I’ve taken and the many times I’ve had a glance at the face of death. But it takes a pinch of “stupid” sometimes in life to truly understand how amazing of a creature you are and what you are capable of in the face of true adversity. Live like your death is scheduled on the calendar and nothing seems stupid.

Heartbreaking. That is someone’s loved one. Is it worth it? I think that’s the lesson Dr. Beck Weathers learned. He realized the pain his selfish risks were causing his family. I respect Dr. Beck Weathers, I respect him for his honesty, and for his will to live in spite of being left for dead twice.

Better than dying of illness in a hospital bed where even the doctor couldn't save us from dying..plus the hair raising medical bills..So, in my own opinion that man has chosen a thoughtful death..even if this wasn't his initial plan..I think he died peacefully...R.I.P, whomever you are 🙏🙏🙏

How right you are. I've read in some of the comments that this gentleman had cancer so I have to agree w you that dying doing something u loved & in such a beautiful place is a far more dignified death than rotting away in a hospital bed. God bless this man. I think he got the death he was trying for.

It is very very expensive to climb there, maybe his way of committing suicide and not an accident then, if he had cancer.

@@bidensdiaper394 One kardio surgeon said, he saw many people died peacefully, because of not enough blood circulation to the brain before death, so people dont give a f. about dying, no drama at all

That was his choice. My choice is my bed with the mattress heater. My friends, family and all of humanity are worth all the joy in the world. No mountain top compares to the peace I have discovered that I am. I pray we all find this peace we share. No need for war. No need for constant searching for the answers in places and things that are fleeting and a disappointment. ❤
