The best comedy show in my opinion Ever written 💯🎬

I remember watching this for the first time when I was 10. I still had my sense of wonder and naive at this point. And I honestly believed when I saw the grave and his hat on the table with the words in the background "I don't believe it" that Victor had actually died. And when she opened the door and he was there I roared with laugher and happiness at the same time to see him still alive and up to his old tricks,

It's incredibly difficult to believe that Bill Cosby paid for the rights for this and the use of the scripts for that last show he did: " Cosby ". He did the equivalent of buying the rights to a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel...then turning it into a comic strip using almost zero elements of the source material. I have watched dozens of Britcoms over the years and this is one of my favorites. The truly outlandish elements they manage to pack into each episode...with the only downside for non-British audiences being the occasional use of British only terms. I didn't remember this episode, if I had seen it before, but knowing how the series ends I thought there was a major mistake at the cemetery. BTW, it was so sweet when Margaret realized at the end that she really would miss Victor if he died. The smile that barely appears when he starts to loudly complain...I realized she doesn't just put up with him, she does love him.

Surely the British terms aka English language is a bonus for those who are keen to learn. After all those non British comedies are filled to the brim with non British terms and we don't struggle.
