You made me remember my grandfather. During the summer he would go to the mountains with my cousins to hunt. And when they weren’t hunting, they were foraging. He always brought home star fruits, mangoes, rambutan and sugar canes. He passed in 2021 and I miss him. My cousins want to continue their tradition to keep grandfather’s memory alive

A warning to those who want to try the recipes: star fruit contains caramboxin and oxalic acid, which can be harmful to those with kidney conditions. YOU CAN DIE if you eat them while under dialysis, have kidney stones, or are suffering from kidney failure. With that aside, star fruit is my favorite fruit, and these recipes look amazing. Star fruit is my ultimate favorite fruit. Its hard to find here in the USA. But when I do find it, I always buy it even though it is usually expensive. Very good flavor and I just eat it by itself. It doesnt need anything else. Second and third favorite is the green apple 🍏 and manderine orange. 😁
