My father buy Metroid prime back in 2002, he never really played it. But for me it was one of the most wonderfull game i have ever played. Never before, never after i did find a game like this one. I have hundreds if not thousands hours on it. I don't have words for how i feel, the game have just that effect on me. no it's 2016, 14 years have passed, i still play it and i only feel gratefull to have the honor to play this masterpiece. 2:31 ok, so I found this ringtone on an app called zedge in 2014 when I was looking for metroid related ringtones and notification sound. The name of the ringtone was "tecno" and the only thing metroid related was the Super Metroid tag. I then found another version that was shorter, but iwas just called "super metroid". I have come back to these ringtones probably 2 or 3 times a year since to try and find the original song using whatever means I have at my disposal. Finally, 8 years later after Shazam failed me for th millionth time, I noticed the original tecno ringtone was posted in 2009. One google search for "metroid remix 2009 piano and I'm finally free to enjoy this lovely song in its entirety.

When I sat down and watched my brother play Super Metroid for the first time, I was instantly drawn to the music. Brinstar Green, Red Brinstar and Norfair were the tracks that really stayed with me. And when I happened upon this beautiful remix, a heavy wave of nostalgia hit me. It reminded me of childhood, of the music that my six or seven-year-old self would hum while on the school bus, of days in recess where I was Samus, protecting the galaxy from Ridley and his band of Space Pirates. I'm also reminded of the childhood represented in the Metroid manga, the loss of innocence that Samus endured as the Space Pirates destroyed everything in their wake. The flighty arpeggios and synth plucks perfectly paint the image of a young Samus, looking back on who she was and who she'd become. Thank you, The Wingless, for reawakening the "One Girl" in all of us.

For some reason, when I would listen to this song as a teenager, my mind crept unbidden to the thought of what it would be like if my father got cancer. The thoughts came out of nowhere; my father was healthy. But the various elements of the song just firmly planted the idea in my head. The sounds of thunder, akin to the unrest that comes with such a diagnosis. The sad, yet hopeful melody signifying the bright spots, where treatment seems to be helping. And the moments of utter silence, where your heart stops when you learn of a new, massive setback. It's been five years since he died of cancer. It's unreasonable, but I feel guilty sometimes for letting my mind wander to those thoughts when I would hear this song. I miss you.

My favourite of the series is Metroid Prime 2 (I know many people consider it one of the worst, I just love Light vs Dark stories). I’ve filled up four memory cards of game files (all but two were 100%). You get three saves per card and I still play it yearly!

You fight DS 3 times but during her final battle, she activates a super attack - that counts as a seperate scan =.= As for the ‘No Deaths’ part... all I’ll say is that Boost Guardian can suck a dick!

You will see the most awesome twist in the series in MP4 or Metroid 5, probably some radical changes to the mere base of the story. They did it with Fusion (Metroid went good from bad) they'll do it again.
