Hey there, yes, I definitely find electric easier for starting out. Acoustic is doable as well, but the strings are a bit rougher on the fingers. Weather on acoustic or electric I recommend going for a light gauge string (I like 9s, but it comes down to personal preference). Also keep your action as low as possible. Both of those things will make it a bit easier on you.

Hey man! I'm an arm amputee, my arm is paralyzed shoulder down from a motorcycle accident. I've been looking at ways to learn how to play guitar and I came across your channel. I used to play back when I had 2 arms many years ago now (very badly btw) but curious, what would be your biggest tips to give me? I tried playing normally but I lost my left arm and I have a right handed guitar so it's a struggle lol. And I'm not skilled enough to restring it the other way. So I'm definitely going to try it your way. Anyways great video, thanks!

Hey there! I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but glad that you found the channel and reached out! Based on the way that I approach guitar and my method for playing you're actually set up good with a right handed guitar that is normally strung. My whole approach was from a stand point of doing as little as possible in the way of having to modify the guitar to play. So for starting out, you'll lay it across your lap with the high strings closest to your stomach (the headstock will be off to your right side), thus giving your right hand easy access to the fretboard. You'll form the chords with your four fingers and will need a thumb pick (I recommend Dunlops Ultex Picks for their sticky type texture, this is up to you though and can be figured out through trial and error.) Lastly, I would recommend as low of action (height of the strings off the fret board) as you can manage on your instrument without getting fret buzz. Heyy man how do you loop, ive always been confused about how like do people loop instrumentt?

Hey Man, great question! So in it's most basic form looping is just taking a piece of recorded sound and playing it on repeat, so it's real important to be in time with yourself to get a seamless transition for it to loop back around. I use a pretty basic pedal called the Boss RC-3, It's a single looper meaning it only houses one loop slot and one instrument (they can get much more complex than this). After the initial loop is captured and the pedal is triggered again it goes into over-dub mode which means I can layer on top of the base loop.. as long as over dub is on it will capture and layer anything I do on the top of the base loop. I usually by-pass overdub once I'm happy with my wall of sound and will solo or strum chords on top of everything else going on in the loop. Hope that helps.
