Jesus the amount of nostalgia I get from listening to this is fucking insane. I Played the shit out of Halo 1 and 2 when I was a kid. I would turn on my Xbox just to listen to the CE menu music while I did chores. My parents thought i was mental, but I loved the music so much! it's amazing how well Marty captured the sound of Halo. Some might even argue that the music he wrote IS Halo. Listening to the OST's throughout the years has really made me love and appreciate music now more than ever. But I can't help but feel that the new stuff 343 is writing is somewhat lacking. Not all of it is bad, in fact most of halo 5's OST is pretty good. But the overall feel just doesn't sound like halo at times, if that makes any sense.

Man, I wish everyone still loved halo more than anything else. It feels so epic listening to the soundtrack 117 and it shows how far halo has come. For any halo haters out there I just want to tell them they are missing out on the best thing in their life... Halo has better soundtracks than movies and games alike. Forge has possibilities that are endless, and the music Marty created is just amazing. The new guys still make great music, and I hope halo has a awesome future ahead of itself. I love halo and many people agree with me. If halo ever were to have a downfall the fans would keep it alive and still beat any other game. To all the people saying "halo doesn't sound like halo anymore", you're right, it's the drums. 343 seems to use the ol' halo tribalesque drums sparingly, which opens and closes doors of musical opportunity, but since most of the fanbase doesn't like the obvious lack of them (not gone entirely, mind you) they should change it in halo 6. On a new tangent, Halo 6 is going to be even more hyped up than last time by the halo fandom because the crew has changed drastically. In my opinion, this next game will make it, and replenish halo's popularity and make it the insane game series it used to be, with millions lining up to buy it, or break it, leaving this series a charred mess, with barely any new players coming in (not from cod, bf, etc), only frequented by the old veterans, who play the older games for nostalgic reasons, but I could be very wrong, this is all opinion. Let me know what you think.

Each time you enter into a new landscape and the music sweeps you up. Such a great, what? 12 year span? 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach. They nailed the campaigns, they nailed multi-player. Did anyone cry at finish the fight, unforgotten, Never Forget? It's sad to see this series die out, it has one of the best games to ever reach controller and one of the best soundtracks. When the E3 trailer of inifinite (the second trailer) come out did anyone legit cry at that or is it just me? These soundtracks are the sound of halo kicking CoD's ass.

"Finish the Fight" is one of many pieces of music in the Halo franchise which actually makes me grin and makes me unnaturally happy. Halo will always be up there with the best of them, and in my opinion will always have some of the best music pieces ever composed.
