Ok so the first guy who said "happy birthday" actually travelled back in time to when he first met the love of his life. And he knew it was his birthday already and he was trying to meet him and get back together with him to prevent his death. (so the second guy died and the first guy went back in time to try and prevent it.) At the end, after many failed attempts, he learns that death is inevitable, but ultimately meaningless. However, he also has to learn to move on and at the end he meets someone new. :) Why did I write this I NEED TO STUDY

I did so much of my writing in grad school while listening to this. It's 2024 and I'm listening to it again while writing my first book! It's kind of nostalgic to hear the conversation beginning 7:30 "How are the finals? Getting cancelled one by one!" and 11:54 "Look, you can either choose to take the final or stick with the grad you have... I'm good. Taking the B!" As a professor, this sounds like a very realistic student conversation (But I don't cancel my finals)! All of us in the comments are strangely united by the illusion of having been in this coffee shop. May this video never get taken down!

My true thoughts after listening to this while doing calc 1 homework, I honestly loved it, it made me feel as if I was in the cafe while doing my homework. What fascinated me was I listened to specific conversations going on while doing my homework and the best part, I didn't lose focus on the task at hand for too long. Definitely a great piece of work that places your mind in a state of focus instead of just making you feel your focused. This worked for me and I would really recommend this, especially if your doing mathematics :).

I like having the sound of activity and movement and conversations in the background when I study. It helps fight off encroaching despair and existential crises at 4am when the building is deathly quiet and everyone but me are peacefully sleeping in their dorms.
@duffthepsych10 жыл бұрын
Sarah Jomaa I was just listening to the author/blogger tim ferriss talk about how he does his best writing between 10pm-5am, but he would get so lonely and feel isolated. His solution was to put movies on repeat, but mute them in the background on his tv so it felt like there was activity around him, but he could focus on the writing.
@sarahjomaa62610 жыл бұрын
JustAWhisperingGuy You know, I've tried that before, but I get distracted _so_ easily I'd start watching the movie on mute and then maybe start daydreaming. It's really bad, lol. I used to put disney channel or some other uninteresting channel on tv to do work at home, and that helped, but I'm in a dorm now so no access to TVs :(

Pretty normal. Like how falling asleep is sometimes easier if the TV is on. Gives your mind something to focus on, just enough so that its activity is actually reduced, I reckon. If you wake up early and can't go back to sleep, put the radio on. See how quickly you feel tired again
