This is POWERFUL. Never more true than now. How can people refute a book that knew this thousands of years ago. I love this man's teachings. We've been oh so watered down living in a state of apathy and luke warm mentality like the bible said.

Really needed this. This world seems less and less friendly to the teachings of the apostles and writers of scripture but I will side with God on all of these issues. "Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall never pass away".

Yes I totally agree that the book of Jude is the most relevant message for today. I just love the way you teach. I got so many revelations from this message. Lascivious creeps in amongst those that teach salvation and if we let it there salvation counts for nothing.

I love your summaries of the bible. I actually listen to your summary’s along with the book I’m reading. It brings me understanding more quickly because I’m not a reader and this actually gives me more incentive to get into the word of God. So thank you and praise God for your truth and defending the gospel and not watering it down. 😊❤️💯

awsome I work the streets bringing the gospel to the lost,,,I try to show that even in the worst one can have peace by displaying it my main teaching is that we are made to walk with God and the more we walk away from God the more missery we have that we use sex drugs and rock and roll to make us feel better about not walking with...and the more we use these things the more we want and after a little while it dont work and we end up here all alone and desperate for more of what dont work,,, i dont approch but let the ones draw near to me ,,Demons will attack me if i approch them....love your work and thank you for conferming that im on the right path

I've always thought that as far as the Bible is concerned, smaller books contain powerful messages. *Jude* falls into that category. This message, presented by Dr. Smith, was very well done. He seemingly hit the nail on the head in most facets of the book of *Jude* . He discussed spiritual admonition as well as mercy in "the love of God". *Jude* is one of my favorite of holy passages; particularly verse 3. It is filled, yet briefly, with historical references to substantiate his point--even from the Apocrypha--1 Enoch. *Jude* is Heaven's text message for the end times.

Maybe, this needs to be preached to other pastors and churches. I feels today, no one stands up for anything and afraid to stand for anything. All levels of govt, schools, jobs and society are defining what is right in their eyes and Christian means very little. Why, over 2000 we continue, what will or has changed for the better? Other than the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

10:42 those rebel angels are the group from genesis 6:1-4. You get this from 1 enoch, which jude pulls from and then later directly quotes in verse 14-15. Anyway, those angels commited sexual sins, making the giant/ nephilim/ rephaim clans- and jude links that into what was happening with leaders of their time… and not surprisingly happening in our time.

I spend half of my year in the Near East (out of Jerusalem) and Europe (out of Rome) and engage many people who are not Christian in orientation. It helps them for me to begin the dating system by a calendar used in the scholarly community, and not strictly Christian. For Jewish and Muslim students, they are already making a stretch from their own dating system into the western calendar, so they tell me they appreciate my efforts to bridge the gap. I hope it isn't confusing to you.

OK, again I'm asking a question, that I don't think will actually get an answer (none of them have received an answer as of yet), but I'm really trying to gain knowledge through these lessons (and I am learning a LOT -- thank you!)......this sexual misconduct you refer to as obviously homosexuality, I always thought it could be referring to rape ("taking" any women they want because of their "office" or "power". Women can be "sodomized" -- as it is "anal or oral copulation". I'm truly not trying pick apart your lesson, I am just really trying to learn more (specifically) so I can be a better witness to those around me. Thank you again for sharing these videos.

Sandy Grubb all sexual sin is wrong. The book of Jude just dealt with the particular sin of strange flesh, which for us humans is homosexuality. Remember, Jude was writing to address an issue amongst a body of believers that had a particular problem. This Bible teacher therefore only spoke on the sin that Sodom was recalled for in Jude. But rape is also a sexual sin, but it isn’t the focus of Jude.

So...what is verse 15 saying? If a person is living a gay lifestyle but believes Jesus is their Savior, are they going to hell? This is so difficult. What about all the other sins going on in the church? Like white supremacy for instance? Are they all going to hell too? Adultery? Domestic violence? The list goes on... why did Jude only address this particular sin?

There is no justification in sin.Every sin is unrighteousness and the unrighteousness will to the fire of hell.Adultery is a sin Matt 5:27-28 and so is other kind of inhuman treatment especially to our fellow men.We need Holy Spirit to guide us to in our walk ,our actions,our speech,our thoughts etc

There is belief that saves and belief that does not, cannot and will not save. Does not save: Belief of facts, belief that God exists, belief in believing to save rather than believing in Christ the Savior. James mentions “the devils (demons) believe and yet they tremble” & you and I know they’re not saved. True saving faith, is Believing in Christ it is believing the Father sent the Son and He (Christ) has done all necessary to bring peace between me and God. God was once my enemy and I hated Him. I loved sin. Now because God has saved me, I hate sin (any and all) and now love Him and live to keep His ways and live by and in His truth. Now know this: There are people who are saved who struggle with the sins of sexuality. Those truly born again no longer stumble in darkness, but they are clearly in sight of what it is they stumble over and can by practicing holiness overcome sin. Why? Because all genuine believers are in the Light now. No longer in darkness stumbling over what they do not know of. Those who practice sexual sinning and do not hate it hate God and are living a lie. And as shown from that Revelation passage, all of those shall perish. The fact that one loves their sin and engages in it practicing it, shows they are already under sin and condemnation. But to those in Christ, there is therefore now no condemnation to those who walk according to the Spirit and not after the flesh. (See Romans 8:1-2) This is a very difficult yet good question and deserves a difficult and good answer. I hope we have been helpful to you and the question.
@MikeAcousticMusic
@MikeAcousticMusic 2 жыл бұрын
I wanted to add Jackie this passage Note John 3 -19And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (ESV) I believe this passage is very clear, someone who is “of the light” does not cover up their sin. But one who does cover sun up -hates the light. This is another way to know when someone is drawn by God to repentance or not. Repentance is imperative. It’s also apparent that if someone, by the Spirit’s power and conviction confesses and forsakes they will obtain mercy (see Proverbs 28:13) but he who covers his sin is asking for absolute trouble. If a person is a true believer he will not cover up but rather he will come into the light with his or her issues with ill-sexuality. No matter how “large or small” it may appear. The believer trusts that God is far greater than any and all Sin. There is a false repentance too--One may be sorry they keep inconveniencing themselves or others, but when anyone truly loves God they run to Him and cast all their care upon Him knowing He cares for them. (See 1 Peter 5:7-8) We all struggle with sin in varying degrees but the child of God knows God not only provided in Christ complete justification (meaning, being declared in the exact righteousness of Christ by God, seen as holy by God) but also that God intimately works in our sanctification, enabling the child to mortify sin in its rightful manner and turn away from it by totally turning to God as Father, not as Judge. Mortification of sin is to be certain and believe the truth that sin has been once for all been defeated by Christ at the cross and that new life is ours because of His resurrection. The same power in His own resurrection now dwells in God’s child. That all takes time and patience, gentleness and respect to convey. Do not rush or fear or be afraid of anything or anyone but learn to fear God alone (expectation and awe of His holiness and power) and sin will rightly be seen for all what it truly is. Focus on God in Christ. Give God all fear, anything else is like idolatry. For the unbeliever, sin isn’t the worst enemy or even death, but the righteousness of God is the biggest enemy of the unbeliever or the fake (feigned) person hiding their sin and calling themselves Christian (which is both blasphemy and hypocrisy). I do hope to is helps. Your question resonates with many today and I pray God gives illumination through His word. 🙂
