I did an "all roads lead to Rome" challenge. I discovered that most airports aren't really meant to be destinations... Most just generate passengers to go to the popular destinations. Keeping fewer planes on the generation airports and more planes on the destination airports helped a lot! A single 300 seat airplane was sufficient for most cities regardless of distance. Upgrading the city to hold the same as the airplane was also helpful. That way the airport could get close to maxed out but go back to 0 once the airplane arrives.

Im interested to see how you'll connect 2 hubs together.. I'm pretty sure 5 planes won't be enough.

haha never. It has one runway and the current traffic is made up of A320 and 737, so I would gladly sell my house for an expansion just to see this spectacle. That would be so amazing for me as a planespotter lol@@S2isDrawingDead

I've actually changed my mind on auto adding lvl 6 planes. I'm glad the go lvl 5, as it saves a TON of money to operate the 5s on most routes, and they're easy enough to upgrade.

After this series, maybe another series can be 1 hub per country...maybe only capital city or maybe 1 central city per country This might be better i think, because what i observed is in general, passengers from a city are around 25% domestic travellers

I feel like eventually you'll have so many people going through your hub cities that they'll get full regardless of maxing out everything. What will you do when you reach that point?

I tried connecting EVERY airport to Frankfurt and failed, because too many people wanted to tokyo and 5 planes weren't sufficient. I'm planing on doing it again with tokyo being connected via one (or two) airports, so 10 planes carry the pessengers from frankfurt to tokyo instead of 5.

I have filmed this full attempt and can confirm i do successfully finish it. and also that Tokyo was a problem. I have since thought about too . There were possibly 3-4 outlying major cities that may have needed a second connecting city along the way
