Amen, I love The Batman! It feels like such a fresh take on the character while capturing the essence of Batman. The vibes, the cinematography, the music, the acting, the story, it's all just ~chef's kiss~

Lemme be devil's advocate here, i think the ending of homecoming signifies that Spider-Man is worthy of the suit and title and it will help him in his crime fighting but totally agree with you on friendly neighborhood part

2:20 It's like in Batman The Animated Series. Batman said that he doesn't call himself Bruce in his own mind.

The ending symbolism is the archetypical Tragic Hero Growth story arc, with Bruce's awakening not only from saving the people in the stadium, but the words of the Riddler goon being inspired by him. This presents that after 2 years of nights, he was essentially no different than any of the villains and thugs he was fighting. Also, he was not able to access his anger in the same way after meeting Catwoman, so this is possibly why we see him need to use adrenaline on the Riddler thug for the full circle moment that matches the pummeling of the opening fight, he has begun his way to catharsis and is no longer throwing his life away each and every fight, he begins to care about his own survival and even after that, he risks his life by cutting the electrical cord, which could symbolize him cutting a tether to his darker self and finally being able to reborn brought into the light, as a Lightbringer or torchbearer. So, a major theme is the unhealthy behaviors and coping mechanisms that some people will incorporate to lash out their anger, Batman is a coping mechanism for a rich young man to work through his emotions, yet he prefers to die in each encounter, and we see as the risks begin escalating (GCPD escape) and his death seems more reassured, Bruce starts to hesitate more than he used to and his psyche is changing by realizing that all of the events taking place in Gotham is because of the inspiration he provides to other people. Essentially, he is also the reason he has to keep going out now, because other traumatized orphans are seeing this as a valid means of conflict resolutions and is spread through the internet to all kinds of fanatics and could be reminiscent of the growing discontent of single men that have become disillusioned with what society tells them to be considered successful and it feels hollow and unrewarding leading to a sense of being betrayed. A lot of what is being represented is how the "crimefighting" is counterproductive, even though it provides Bruce a sense of expressing his angers by finding scenarios where he can unleash his rage and be without repercussions. So, the woman being lifted up by the helicopter can be symbolic of a gargoyle or demon that lifts other people up to Heaven during the Rapture (Apocalypse) and this demon is aware that he cannot be saved but can utilize what he has learned to send others up and he remains to fight Hell. but it turned out to not be the ending, and there was still more to his story.
