One Life to Live: Patricia Elliott's Final Appearance

In scenes airing August 23 & 24, 2011, actress Patricia Elliott makes her final appearance as matriarch Renee Divine Buchanan, a role she played continuously from 1988-2011. Elliott passed away at the age of 77 in December 2015. In these fitting final scenes, Renee and Bo visit Asa's grave on the anniversary of his death.

Renee #01 was pretty good, too (for the short time she was on), but PE was great. Even though OLTL is over, I am going to consider that Renee has passed away, as well.

@@tjames9698 Phyllis Newman I believe played the original Renee Divine, but Patricia Elliott... she was remarkable, a big heart, so dear and devoted to the role; she was Renee.

I understand Erika Slezak was the beloved heroine of the show, but Patricia Elliott was really (to me at least) the matriarch and friend to all who came and went from Llanview. Loved her, and she was the one and only loving wife to Asa ♥

Man I will never understand why ABC cancelled this show.But on the other hand the folks who made that choice are no longer at the network.But damn it was so much more this story left on the table 💯.I miss this soap I understood amc being cut but not OLTL 🤦🏾‍♂️💔
