I wasn't crazy about this show in the 2000s, but sporadically watched it. David is really cool in this scene. I hate how the writers turned him into a complete buffoon in the last few years.

This isn't being held hostage in my opinion. I would say more like grabbed. I've seen Viki taken hostage before and it was much better than this and much more exciting and dramatic.

I'm somewhat aware that this wasn't that long ago, but I started watching in fall 2009 with Mitch again. One thing I've noticed is that Slezak and Ver Dorn have really aged alot in the last couple of years -- and both have gained alot of weight. And while I'm on the subject, Ver Dorn does not belong on this show as Clint (most long term characters should never be replaced). Whatever scene he's in for me becomes an intrusion on the fabric of this show's considerable history. Sad, but true.
