Howdy. This is the last upload of 2014 for me, and I just want to remind you all that you have but one life to live. Speaking of that, here's the full closing theme OLTL used from 1995 to 2004. It was probably one of the better things to come out of ABC's music department since "L-O-V-I-N-G".
This is a soap theme with punch. It's modern, it's hip, it's gritty.

Agreed. I think this music is more fitting for an action packed adventure fantasy than a show that is 90% people talking to the camera with one or two sets. It’s so exhilarating and makes you want to have a real adventure yourself.

The show was revived in early 2013 but production was halted again later that year. Abc regained the rights to the program in 2016, but is not planning to revive it again. If abc revives the soap opera it would probably air in primetime.

Keith Jacobson yeah. I'm 16 and i only know this show because my mom used to make me watch it with her when it was still on and i actually ended liking it. When it went off my mom was upset and tried to enjoy watching general hospital which isn't a bad show but doesn't compare to one life to live. She still watches GH, but personally i think the story is pretty boring.

God, it makes me want to cry. This melody is so beautiful, the emotions it brings up and the way it makes you feel is like none other. It is almost as if it makes me mourn the past and the lost possibilities and at the same time makes it hopeful looking forward for the future. I miss One Life To Live so much. I miss this show so incredibly much. I watched it my entire life. My mother grew up watching it with her mom and grandma (my mom was six when this show began) and I watched it with her until its end (from '96 to 2012). I ALWAYS thought that it would be around for me to watch with my kids, and I couldn't have been more disappointed to be so wrong. It broke my heart when I found out the show was ending and I stayed home from school the day the show ended so I could watch the entire episode. This theme song means more to me than any other show's song does. It was a part of my life until I was sixteen - a HUGE part of my life. I still come back to listen to this or watch some clips from time to time. Thank you so much for posting this. And thank you, OLTL, for being such a big part of my life.

excellent theme song. a friend of mine who worked for ABC got me a pristine copy of this and the other cuts as well. not sure why they "remixed" this after 2004 to water it down.. incidentally the music was composed by the same guy who wrote the moonlighting theme song..

They didn't remix it. They completely re-recorded it with an all new instrumental - and by comparison, it was awful and unsophisticated. All 3 ABC Daytime soaps, at the direction of Brian Frons, were to have openings that represented a common branding for ABCD. All My Children was able to remix their current theme (recorded 2 years prior) with a new guitar and percussion track. But GH & OLTL had to redo theirs completely.

I heard about the great writing of Sam Hall and Gordon Russell, but I didn't know about it as I was a kid then, and didn't become a die-hard fan until late summer 1986. The only thing I knew about OLTL before then was that month-long masquerade ball storyline where Olympia Buchanan tried to off Asa and Samantha Vernon and the storyline where Dr. Kipling implanted a mind control device in Larry Wolek's brain.

She scared me tbh… I’m like “oh, she’s just an actress.. okay ✅. 😎I really do think I could act but honestly I could only do type casting where I play the good guy. I mean the good people that can play bad people or if that’s what the audience is supposed to think… I mean honestly… I could be like Tom Hanks cast as Mr. Rogers….
