Wow, I can't believe I've NEVER seen this. Way above my expectations per usual! Clint Ritchie plays SO well off of crazed ladies! So many crazy ladies on Daytime, you'd think Clint would have been a shoo in for an emmy nod... nope! Never! The industry hated on OLTL back in the day because it was SO hot.

Agreed. CR should have definitely been nominated for a daytime Emmy! Especially during the 1985 Niki Smith saga! But CR was not the 1980's long haired looking hippie that most female viewers wanted. Clint was an old-schooled, Christian, clean cut, romantic, and loyal gentleman. Tragic. 💖

Viki was always so much more of a positive mother figure to Cord than his own mother Maria!

Yeh, Maria stunk...but Viki wanted to butter up Cord...and Cord charmed his way with her by acting the role of the "model" son while sneakily treating others like crap. Viki and Cord are two of a kind...self-righteous, judgemental hypocrites. I was so glad to see Dorian later call Viki out on her BS and her _HYP-OCRACY._ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Too bad Dorian didn't also call Cord out on his BS as well.

@shrinefilms1 Clint Ritchie was so underrated, even by a lot of fans. All the work he did as an actor to help bring in the Buchanans, to help give Viki another vital relationship after her very popular romance with Joe ended, all the quiet support he added to so many scenes. I miss him a lot.

I think Andrea got one nomination during her run on the show. She was nominated in the Outstanding Juvenile Female category back in '88 I believe. They later changed the name of the category to Outstanding Younger Female Actress.

@VickRobCal Yeah, and there is some dumb website that lists the top 50 soap opera actresses and Erika S comes in third behind.... Reva??? OH but WAIT! You might think well Kim Z played more characters EXCEPT Andrea Evans who is the only actor to be on contract on all three networks isn't on the list at all!? Not even honorable mention list?!?! Whatever. OLTL was always like the cool soap. It was even mentioned on the show WB "Reaper". A slacker was like he recorded over a week of OLTL!

It's nice to hear a mention of Cathy Craig. I wonder if this was the last mention? So we know in 1986 she was doing OK and not kidnapping babies. Good for her! The scene w/Cord and Viki is sweet, and I like the scene where Viki immediately refuses to believe any badmouthing of Pamela. The Pamela Clint and Viki seemed to respect so much bears little resemblance to the con artist who was killed off without even a shrug from anyone in town. :(
