One man shop build #2 setting trusses

Setting and welding steel pipe trusses on shop. Using scissor lift JLG MRT26 and MLULL telescoping forklift. Lincoln buzzbox welder.

you could have the ropes tied onto the front of you rig and when it is high enough the ropes would automatically straighten the truss up so you could place it correctly. your assistant is doing a great job

Nice design using pips to build your structure. I'll be building a geodesic dome garage like that but instead of welding the connectors, I'll be making a different type of hub connector that doesn't require welding. My geodesic dome garage will be the largest structure of it's kind in the world when I'm done with it. I'm also planning on building SIP panels to cover and insulate the roof. The SIP's will be a first as well. I'm doing this build to match our geodesic dome home. That way everything looks the same on the property.

You could use 2 chains, both 4 ft apart from the center. And you won’t have any swing once picked up.

I posted here 2 years ago and I finally bought me 4" and 2 7/8 pipe. I'm looking into a 30x75 ft building now. Materials are really expensive these days so ended up paying more than I wanted.

Are these actually made from 40ft pipe or did you weld sections up? I'm using my phone so cant exactly see if theres welded sections of pipe.

Pipe only comes im 31 and 33 ft length. You could add on, but need adequate bracing, bc of weak point
