One Minute Nuzlocke - Selecting a Starter

While I wait for that short to get processed by KZbin's new "three minute" feature, I'm starting something I've been wanting to try for a while: a shorts-styled Nuzlocke series! I plan on having every episode link to the next one when they release with the related video on the bottom left of these shorts, so if you're watching this from the future, hopefully you can get to the next episode right after this one! (I forgot links don't work on shorts so uhh here are the rules reposted in this pinned comment LOL) [Standard Nuzlocke Rules] 1. Any Pokémon that faints in battle is considered dead, and can no longer be used in battle. They must be stored in a box within the PC, or released. 2. The run is over when I beat the Champion, or if I wipe out in battle. 3. You can only catch the first Pokémon encountered on each route. If the encounter faints or flees, you cannot try again. 4. All rules mentioned above do not apply until I receive a Pokéball of any kind. 5. All Pokémon must be nicknamed. [Extra Rules] 6. Item use in battle is limited. I can ONLY use HP healing items, and am limited to 1 per 2 Pokémon on a trainer's team (3 max). Held items are allowed. 7. I cannot exceed the level cap of the next Gym Leader's highest leveled Pokémon. 8. Once I enter a gym for the very first time, I cannot leave it under any circumstances. [Clauses] 9. Duplicate Clause: If the encounter is within an evolution line of a Pokémon I have already caught, I can reroll the encounter and try again on that route. 10. Gift Clause: Static Pokémon do not count for Rule 3, however the fail condition still applies. 11. Shiny Clause: Shiny Pokémon do not count for Rule 3 either.
