what's this drill's purpose?

My thought is to get a quick pass to a guy coming open. But also making it a good pass that allows him to catch and take the shot

Muscle memory to teach your mind and body what it feels like to throw an accurate pass at chest level without thinking. This will avoid turnovers keeping the defense on their toes and create open shot opportunities.
