In March 2023, just as we were ready to break ground on our expanded facility, I received a life-altering diagnosis of inoperable Pancreatic Cancer. Despite the challenges and my fears, the amazing community we've built on KZbin over the last 7+ years has kept me inspired to continue sharing my journey.
Now, I'm fully committed to building our expanded facility, Legasea Aquarium & The Reptarium, just across the street. This project represents resilience and the pursuit of dreams in difficult times. Good Morning Reptile Army! I hope your days are good. Today was so stressful trying to move these tanks into the spot they need to go. But now we have to figure out how to get them onto there stands all the way. Building The LegaSea is all about problem solving and these are so many issues each day we have to deal with. But we will get there! Hope you enjoy the process of building the Aquarium! We are making huge progress and it'll keep going for the next couple months until we are opened! I’m really glad you are showing a lot of the building process. It’s just fascinating to me to see an empty building transform. I’m sure it’s very hard work for the crews but also must be very rewarding for them to be able to see the progress of their work at the end of each day. I know the feeling Brian. I’m a retired Project Engineer who was responsible for installing production equipment worth $ millions. With defined windows of time, you couldn’t absorb even the slightest bit of damage to any of the components. In that profession, expenditures due to damage or missing a startup date due to mishaps was detrimental to one’s career. We had a saying, “you’re only as good as your last project “. Fortunately, I had a long and successful career in that profession.

Are those tanks not insured? I mean even if they are I'm sure that's something you wouldn't want to go through, rate would go up from a claim, if they're custom made to a specfic location/area with odd dimensions, that could put a major delay on progress if it had to be built again.

Now that you have those tanks on the lumber I think the issue I see that would be worrisome is do you have enough lumber under those tanks to spread the load evenly. The amount of weight on those few pieces of lumber looks like it causes stress points where the tank bare down on the lumber.... that would be my greater concern now that you have them on the stands

No way they can leave them like that - hopefully they don't try filling the tanks first. The water in those tanks will nearly triple their weight!

i hope those wooden blocks are getting removed. The weight of the water is going to put a lot of pressure on the pots without support and eventually could crack the tank.

Actually I was a fork lift driver for over 10 years, and this Man was as good as I am! Good thing some forklifts have a side shift, to incrementally move a load from side to side, with the right users skill. Almost like a video game tweeking micro control. Ya!
