► About the Video:
As one of the happiest countries in the world, Vanuatu suffers from natural disasters like barely any other country. In 2019, when I was 21, I spent one month living with the Ni-Vanuatu people on different Islands. Talking to the amazing people, spending everyday life together, laughing, celebrating the independence, the overall experience had a strong influence on me. It's actually hard to take anything here at home too serious, knowing how humans can live and lived for the majority of the past. I learned to build a core happiness that often is unchanged from external factors, now knowing that everything is alright if I just don't take stuff too serious while still taking the same steps. I feel very lucky to had this experience influencing my thinking. And thanks for watching. Filmed with a GoPro Hero 7 (I think).
* there are way more things that benefit happiness in Vanuatu than mentioned in the video. Generally, natural background noise and a view where your eyes can wander are f.e. calming aka. attention pulling (so you don’t spend too much time in your head).
