I can fully align with this my father was an alcoholic. Took 2 heart attacks and a 2nd divorce for him to quit. My younger brother also struggles with alcohol abuse. I myself i dont drink at all or smoke. Me and my father spent so many years broken and not speaking. Im in my 40's now and finally have a relationship with him. All i ask of him now is to stay sober look after his health and be a good Grandfather to my Children.
