Oooh, you got me on that titanium gravity knife! Love that thing. I'm strongly leaning into that little tripod too. These are fun videos. Glad kitty is doing better.

The gravity knife is so fun! Love the simple design and titanium too, build quality and fit/finish are excellent. You’ll love that tripod too if you think you’ve got a use for it - I was so happy they reached out to work together because I’ve been obsessed with it since it launched last year.

I have the Daily Carry Co Aluminum Slide. It's half the price of the tislide and the only difference is an aluminum body instead of a titanium one. This knife is CRAZY addicting. A few tips I've learned with opening the knife: you can one hand open by placing your thumb and finger on either side of the open hole and spreading the handles apart. Or you can pinch the scale at either end, NOT MIDDLE, and it's easier to one hand open.
@joshfenn11 ай бұрын
Thank you for the tip, it definitely helps! Felt like I was the only one who couldn’t master it one handed, haha.

one compelling thing I noticed about the moft is that it looks like you can easily charge your phone while using it. I have the little nite-ize phone stand and my biggest complaint is that you can’t easily charge a phone in portrait mode while using it. might be time to switch with my new iphone 15 pro :)
@joshfenn11 ай бұрын
Plenty of room for a charging cable with this one! This video is probably the 4th or 5th time I’ve mentioned it around here, I’ve been extremely happy with mine

Is the gravity utility blade legal to carry?
@joshfenn11 ай бұрын
The laws change depending on where you live, always important to check what they are in your location. I do think the shorter utility blade is a bit more forgiving legally though.
@subrasteve480111 ай бұрын
Can you easily replace the blade on this?

Yeah it’s pretty simple like most box cutter/utility styles

Anyone interested in the gravity knife should buy now for their 45% off pre order sale. Shipping in less than a month and 115ish total price for the kit, which is higher than I was excited to pay personally, but figured I definitely wouldn’t be able to pay the 170 retail price for a box cutter

Hi Josh nice to see and hear Wolfie is doing better. I’ve seen people doing videos of things they can’t live without, don’t know if you’d be interested in that. Also I’ve seen this KZbin channel called Go4x4 who does camping videos without doing any commentary and they’re quite nice to watch, maybe you could do camping videos with that same vibe or with your own spin.
@joshfenn11 ай бұрын
The ‘can’t live without’ topic could be a fun one, definitely making a note in my topic idea list! I’ve actually seen that channel before, those videos are always a ton of fun to watch. It’s tough to change styles so dramatically with the YT algorithm, it seems to punish the channel pretty severely when I deviate that much, but I just got a bit of footage from a camping trip earlier this week for a video I’m working on for next Friday. Won’t be that silent, relaxing type of style but should still be in the realm of the norm around here while still being able to bring you along on one of my camping trips

Hi Josh, as a minimalist I really enjoyed your earlier videos. Notice that type of thing has disappeared from your recent videos (still great content!) Wondering if you had any recommendations for any minimalist content/blogs/literature? Or is it something your have moved on from Thanks
@joshfenn11 ай бұрын
I haven’t found much in quite some time worth reading or consuming tbh. Most of the online presence around minimalism seems pretty toxic and misguided these days, it was a huge factor in me moving away from that type of content.

Do you upload at the exact same time as packhacker on purpose? I don’t mean that as an accusation in any way, i was just wondering if it’s purely coincidence that you post a video weekly at the exact same time on similar topics! 😂

@@joshfennYour placement and inclusion of the tripod was fine. It fit with the theme of the video and didn’t take away from the content in any way. If they don’t appreciate all the work you put in and got upset because you told us that it is a paid promotion, they can move along and complain on someone else’s video until they figure out that nearly every creator on KZbin also has Sponsors and Paid Promotions.
