I totally agree, it's very underrated, for me it's one of his 10 best performances, which is saying a lot for him.

Gary always disappears into his roles, even if he looks and sounds like he normally does. He has a natural ability of inhabiting his parts that you don’t see him in his work. He’s my favorite actor of all time and he’s always given his best no matter the project, even if the project is bad he’s always fantastic and remains the bright spot of the film.

He’s one of the few actors that really does feel like a completely different person in every single role. You can say that about a lot of different actors but it’s often hyperbole. With Gary Oldman, however, it could not be more accurate. How the hell are Commissioner Gordon and Drexyl the same person? It’s wild. He might honestly be the GOAT.

Was 'Track 29' ever released? Our local film fest in the 90's managed to get a copy from a cinema in canada (who had somehow acquired it before plug was pulled on distribution). Freaky material that chatanooga choo choo...
