I can't believe we are already into 2019! Even though I didn't accomplish as much as I had hoped to on the channel here in 2018, I still find that the year was an absolute success. In this video I share some gifts from you guys that seriously blew me away this past year, as well as give just a small handful of updates on the channel moving forward.

which model pen is that? personally i shoot with the pen-ee (revision 2), the one that is literally a point and shoot. no manual focus controls, drops the shutter to 1/30th in apature priority. such a fun little camera, it never leaves my briefcase.

Punk Rachmaninoff this is the original pen. Earlier than the s and w models. It’s a great option for more control

@@NickExposed there are multiple versions of the original pen, i think you have the same one as me. the original pen (rev 2) with the woven plastic 'leatherette' -- my apologies, think i mistakenly said 'pen ee (rev 2)' on my reply. the very first pen is 1/50th or 1/40th only, can't remember. it has a "leather" leatherette, with a slightly different pattern than the second revision.

Gonna need to know more about your new scanning method. It’s something I’ve always considered trying out. Your boy is a little tired of the Epson 7 years later...

I was so sick and tired of the flatbed scanning, as well as the long workflow I had on the Pakon with scanning raw photos. This method is so much faster, and gives quite literally the sharpest scans I've ever seen. Hope to have this be one of my first videos here going into the new year. 👌

Nick Exposed Duuude. Is this something I could do with my Fuji and their macro lens? Looks like your setup is a pre-made product rather than a DIY job. Or else you’re just really good at DIY stuff. Haha.

nice to see you back on the tubes would love a review on the Pen as we were talking on insta / how come you are scanning with a DSLR now thought you had a pakon ??

I got rid of the Pakon mid last year. The DSLR scanning offers sharper scans, higher resolution images, and has an incredibly quick workflow to it. Just an easy decision to move on for me.

Wait! MP's are what, small sensor will only, ah, the DPI will only, ah, AF is wait, huh? These were great little cams & really under appreciated even back then. LOL. The arguments were much the same & even back then, missed the big point. Is it fun & enjoyable to play with? Play being a very impotant idea. Thanks. Sub'd up.

Lawrz Photog(TheGreatVanzinni!) haha yes these drew quite the stink back then. I was just recently reading that Olympus executives did not originally want to call this a camera, but instead a toy. And they thought it would only appeal to women. What a strange way of looking at things. It’s fun, compact, cost effective and plenty capable. With the scans I’m making it’s about a 8-10 months equivalent with plenty of detail. Thanks for sharing buddy! And welcome to the community!
