I recently flew VIE-MAD and MAD-ORD on Iberia and I had the opposite reaction. The flights were on time and I thought the crews on both flights were superb, professional and were present throughout the flight. The flight to Chicago was on a brand new Airbus A350 which was excellent. MAD was a very nice airport to transfer through. Although the gates were quite far between European and US flights, I still made it with only 1 hour connection. From my experience, I would recommend Iberia.

I flew with Iberia express from Amsterdam to Madrid with economy class. And it was one of my best flights the crew was nice and they served free food and we had an screen on the seats . 😀

I fly a lot with Iberia, so maybe I can give a bit more details: - the crew usually welcomes passengers onboard. The cabin purser by the door and the other flight attendants across the plane (one by the curtain between business and economy, one close to the emergency exists and one towards the back). If they don’t it’s because they probably had something more important to do. Though if none of them were welcoming passengers, it’s weird - Iberia and Iberia Express are refurbishing the cabins of their A32X. The EC-MUF has been passed to Iberia Express, meaning it has the Express livery and, I imagine, the new cabins. The new seats are thinner but the legroom is better. All seats come with a USB port and the first 6 rows on Iberia and first 3 rows on Iberia Express are equipped with a power socket. - I wish they would install WiFi on their planes. As far as I know, they don’t plan on doing it. Iberia Express has a pretty good entertainment system available in streaming. I wish it would be expended to Iberia mainline. - All Iberia passengers have free access to PressReader before the flight. It lets you download newspaper/magazines among a choice 6000+. Apart from that, great video! :)

Apart from Iberia I have flown with other countrie’s flag carriers such as BA, Air France, Alitalia, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, Czech Airlins, Austrian and Iberia is similar to them. On Iberia Express there is a free wifi for entertainment (films, TV, moving map). I have flown many times on IB and IBE on A320 and A321 aircraft and the planes were always in better condition than the one you flew on from MUC to MAD.

Two things I want to say about Iberia: it is totally true that the IB cabin crew on short haul flights is kind of unfriendly and passive. I was working for Iberia at Munich Airport and I can definitely agree with your views. The second thing is a little addon about the plane EC-MUF, because Iberia delivered this aircraft to its budget subsidiary Iberia Express, so don’t wonder why the interior sucks that much.

Yah...I booked a flight from Porto to Barcelona in the Fall. My concern is the leg room. I have an option for an upfront seat which would allow me to exit the plane faster to catch my connecting flight in Madrid. Or wait 5 to 10 min. more for an emergency exit which extra legroom. Thoughts?

Ich muss sagen, dass ich schon öfters mit Iberia geflogen bin und bis jetzt so gut wie nur positive Erfahrungen gesammelt habe und die Flüge immer pünktlich wenn nicht sogar vor der zeit ankamen. Du hast anscheinend echt Pech gehabt mit deinem Flug, denn ich habe immer eine ordentliche und saubere Kabine vorgefunden mit freundlichem personal, welches dich auch im Flugzeug begrüßt sowohl am Eingang als auch in der Mitte und am Ende wie es normalerweise auch üblich ist oder sein sollte. Du hast recht, dass große Personen eher Probleme haben mit der Beinfreiheit, je weiter man im Flugzeug nach hinten geht, da ich aber meistens vorne saß, war ich damit immer zufrieden und bin 1,83 Meter groß. In neueren Flugzeugen bzw. Flugzeuge mit neueren Kabinen bieten sie auch usb-ports an. In Madrid war das Iberia Personal am Check-in immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, was ich allerdings am Flughafen Düsseldorf z. B. nicht bestätigen kann. Ich könnte noch ausführlicher werden, will aber keinen Roman unbedingt schreiben. Aber wie immer war es ein super Video und ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr Iberia noch eine Chance gibt und beim nächsten Mal mehr glückt habt denn ich kann Iberia auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

About what I've come to expect from Iberia. A hallmark of their in-flight service is ... indifference (at best). On my latest Iberia flight, there was a technical fault that caused a three-hour delay, meaning that almost everyone on the flight missed their MAD connections. The gate staff (who probably didn't work for Iberia, to be fair) made NO announcements and offered absolutely NO help to passengers. In fact, there was NO staff in the boarding area. The only signs of a problem: (1) Flight crew left the aircraft about ten minutes before boarding and were not seen again for hours; (2) The departure board started showing the delay about an hour after published departure. On the other hand, IB staff at MAD were fully prepared to rebook us on the next day's flights and arrange hotels. I was really impressed by the organization and efficiency of the accommodation process (transport to hotel, dinner, overnight in hotel, courtesy continental breakfast, and return transport to MAD very early in the morning).

Same thing going back 5 hour Bus Ride from Lugo to Madrid Airport then MAD-JFK on Iberia JFK-DFW on American. All in Economy. Do you have any tips? It's my first Intercontental flight.

I fly them quite frequently on their DUS-MAD vv. service and - as far as the cabin crew is concerned - never had a bad experience and the cockpit crew was always very talkative/informative! But you are absolutely right about the legroom or - let`s say - the lack therof :-( ! That`s more than marginal and should absolutely be changed! The other problems that frequently occur are not Iberias fault but more of the typical problems when flying with predominently German passengers: A very slow boarding process and many passengers who don`t (want to) understand even the easiest boarding procedures.....!

those are the standard A320 seats. they are the same on every airline, from lufthansa to Jet Blue. the A320 is just an uncomfortable aircraft. one time i pretended to have diarrhea and stayed in the bathroom for a whole flight because of the amount of room it has compared to the seat

No, these aren't the same seats. The seats and the amount of seats depend on the airline not on the aircraft. The airline decides how many seats they put into an airplane. We've plenty of A320 reports out on our channel. Please have a look at it an see what other and how many seats different airlines use and you will see you have a lot more legroom than on Iberia. I absoluter agree! I booked a flight from Lisbon to Amsterdam on January 5th, 2023 and during my check in an arrogant Iberia female flight attendant said in a very disrespectful way that it's mandatory to wear a face mask . This very same female flight attendant didn't cover her face during the boarding process and also none of her Iberia colleagues did cover their faces. Economy class is the hell on earth with so tiny seats that I was pretty happy after touch down in Amsterdam. During the check in I showed my ID ( I'm a medical doctor) and my disability-ID. Iberia has its own chapter about disabled passengers and what Iberia does to comfort them. I can't agree because one of the arrogant flight attendants ignored my disability ID and asked me in a disrespectful way "What do you think what I should do for you right now? Ordering a wheel chair or what?"....Never ever again with Iberia!

Iberia is a terrific flight experience over short and medium distances. Old and poorly maintained aircraft. Unfriendly and impolite cabin crew. Legroom is ridiculous. If there is another option to reach the destination, better avoid Iberia. On long-haul flights the experience improves a lot.

I gotta have to disagree on you for long haul flights because you see i have flown iberia every year to get to colombia by usually taking this route geneva -> Madrid -> Bogota the last flight (bogota -> cartagena) being by another compagny usually avianca and madrid bogota flight at least all experiences that i had were terrible! The worse flight i had with them was with an A340 that had no entertainment system, old seats and impolite cabin crew, and my last experience was during this summer where i had to fly with another A340 madrid to bogota and that time we had entertainment system, new seats and an ok legroom BUT cabin crew was again horrible, not polite at all and i can smell a bit of racism if you didn't talked spanish well over that while food service was going they almost made my plate fell onto my table (was going to take it as they handed me it but let go of it before i was even close to take it), over that when disembark cabin crew didn't even say goodbye or really cared about you

In Spain, we are everytime mad so don't be scaried, it's normal here hahahha I've never flight with Iberia for some reasons, Legroom and crew, I'm 1,86 and I'm 17 years old so, it's not even done, I cant flight on Iberia A320, I normally choose Air France or TAP Portugal, sometimes Brussels or Ryanair but Iberia, that's not a good deal haha, nice video !

Iberia ist nicht gut - aber Spantax war seinerzeit noch viel schlimmer. Die landeten sogar auf der Autobahn. Bei spanischen Fluglinien scheint sich auch nach Jahrzehnten nichts zum positiven geändert zu haben. Eigentlich schade für so ein schönes Land. Aber es gibt ja auch nicht-spanische Fluglinien.

I’ve flown before with Iberia and I don’t get how the national carrier of Spain doesn’t even offer free drinks l. Every other national carrier in Europe I’ve been on have always offered free drinks and snack even on 1hr flights. Terrible Airline!!!!

Iberia is really the worst, I travelled on it from Madrid to Lima, and for about 5 hours we weren't allowed to have water, then we are not allowed to use the toilet for around 2 hours, the cabin crew doesn't seem to speak English and during lunch service they just threw food to us like we are monkeys, and they also just put their stupid food trollies into people"s head and not caring about hurting them or if they are asleep...THE WORST AIRLINE EVER, I flew with them once and NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Sadly meanwhile they are. No complimentary food, you have to pay for seats and baggage...so there's no difference to low cost carriers. I even would say: easyJet offers a better service.
