That is a beautiful ambulance/hearse. When I worked for a private ambulance service, the law had just changed in my state, making these illegal. The previous business name was Penland's Ambulance and Mortuary. The way that rolls off the tongue is really disturbing and for good reason. It was around $100 at the time to get someone to the hospital safely, but if you passed away in the back of the hearse/ambulance, the preparation and burial was between $1500 and $5000, depending upon how extravagant your family was. Even a cremation would have netted significantly more than the transport to a medical facility. There were such a rash of lawsuits for wrongful death that businesses had to separate, switching to Type 2 vans. Knowing the history does add some flavor to Ghostbusters.

As a volunteer ambulance driver in Haverstraw NY I had the opportunity to drive our brand new '70 Caddy ambulance. I don't know which company built it but it was very heavy and the brakes were not quick to stop it! Actually scary!

??? are the two red headlights for high-beam? Do they blink in emergency mode? Are they regular clear glass sealed beams with a red plastic cover or are they red glass? Do they have a manufacturer's name on them? I have a 1970 SDV that I want to change the center high beams with amber or red. The outer low beams headlights have high beam filaments also. . ps; could you add some more footage of this video (pt 2) and show the various modes of the myriad of lights in standard and emergency...no need for sirens. Does it have the standard under hood horns. Or are they bumped up a notch? Mine has the additional trumpet horn that gives that Cadillac locomotive sound!. Thanking you ahead of time. KingEldo
