One of the best busking ever! Ren & Liv Sangster playing on Brighton Beach! The Big Push. 24

Winter, nice Friday afternoon. On my way back to work, I found Gorran, Romain and later Ren, with a great singer called Liv, busking in Brighton seafront.
Ren is a very talented singer, songwriter, producer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist. He is a member of The Big Push Band and also has played together with various musicians and buskers. He is a very well-known face around Brighton’s busking scene and has been performing to ecstatic crowds for years, with early beginnings in the music industry coming when he was discovered performing on the streets of Bath, as part of indie-pop band Trick the Fox.
Despite having built a loyal fan base, due to health issues, Ren was forced to halt his music endeavours and move home to Brighton. During what he describes as ‘a time of isolation’, Ren was bed-bound for years having been diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
After channelling his frustration into song writing and producing from his bedroom, Ren is now going to do an specific treatment for the disease. Once he is 100%, he will be ready to share more of his amazing music/art with the world.

Brighton based band The Big Push consists of three front men Ren, Romain Axisa and Gorran Kendall and drummer Glenn Chambers. Drawing elements from classic brit-bands like The Beatles or The Police, they craft their clever modern arrangements into catchy pop tunes.

Personally i would preffer watching them playing where theyr at and enjoy with that awesome view and not in a place full and packed with people . I love when great music is played in small venues rather than in places full of people and if its on the beach well thats an extra bonus for me. But i get that you talking about they getting recognition and thus playing for a lot of people that has paid and so they get good earned money .

I'm 54 and only stumbled across Ren's music a few weeks ago. Music has been a big part of my life since I was a young lad. I have been to 100s of gigs, seen many things but I struggle to think of anything I have seen or heard that has blown me away quite like the stuff I am hearing coming from Ren or those he collaborates with. I've seen quite a few here in the US, it's been years since I don't go out as much and get around but usually up near Santa Monica or Venice beach, or around some promenades of the bigger malls you'll catch a few and I've seen some when I vacationed in New Orleans quite a few years ago. I'm sure there are laws and restrictions for where they can setup and perform. Never seen the larger crowds Ren pulls in on some of his videos though, but most of them were very talented.

But he's the King of the Common man. He gives voice to and is a champion of the people. His compassion, kindness and empathy are staggering. You rarely find a "celebrity" who is as real and accessible as Ren. He's been a godsend to me and many others. I agree with you. He has the talent level of Prince, but he has something Prince never had. I lived in Seattle, kinda still do, during it's hay day back in the early 90's through the 00's. As a young man I used to go see the music and be a part of the scene, watch and sometimes going backstage, almost every night. I have stories. I have to say REN is completely different. Cut from a different cloth but shares some of the best threads of history. Once in a generation and a half does something like him happen. Earlier today I used an AI visual generator to, "put REN in as the fifth member on stage with the Beatles at the black and white ed sullivan show in 1964 with George Harrison looking envious at REN"...the results were hilarious.

How could such a magnificent singer/musician/songwriter(lyrical poet) not be the most famous artist today? He’s that talented. I’ve been deep in this rabbit hole since Hi Ren. This little beautiful song should be recorded for the world to hear. It’s so magical. Reminds me of a youthful Bono singing from deep within his soul for everyone to feel.

Well for one, he doesn't want a major label deal. He wants to be completely independent and obviously own all his music. He doesn't want to get disneyfied which I absolutely agree with him a hundred percent but the people that are going to follow him, we'll follow him till the end. He just hit 1 million subscribers... I don't even know how he wasn't at that before, I was baffled as well😂 but he's about to release an 18 track LP and he said he wants everything to be completely one-hundred-percent by word-of-mouth with no major label help or I honestly think that's a beautiful thing. Much more beautiful than you going into a boardroom with a bunch of people who don't know you personally and they hear your music and all they hear is the sound of their pockets getting fatter. So he really believed in in Ren as an artist than support him. I didn't have money to go go by his EP or anything like that but I did go around and tell everybody to subscribe to get to 1 million and he reached his deadline so I guess whatever I did worked😂🤷🏻‍♀️💯🫂✌️🔥🙏🎤🇬🇧🥲
