'One of the best markets in the country': Bilston market traders celebrate half a century of trade

Traders and shoppers have spoken of good people and a welcoming atmosphere at a market set to celebrate a significant anniversary.
Bilston Indoor Market will mark 50 years as a "jewel in the crown" of the town on March 11 with a day of celebratory events and a special plaque being unveiled.
Traders on Monday, March 6 were meeting and greeting customers as people went out to do their weekly shop, catch up with friends in one of the cafes or just have a walk around and see what was on offer.

Went to Bilston market for the first time the weekend. What an amazing place! It was absolutely rammed with shoppers, every stall seemed to have queues, which was a great sight, took me back to the old days.
