So that odd gun Optimus comes with is Megatron. Megatron used to be able to shrink and grow and he could become a human sized or transformers sized gun he’s also a realistic replica of a Walter P38 handgun. The scope and silencer are a reference to an old spy show called the man from uncle where the lead character had a modified Walter P38

As far as gi joe transformers goes, theyve been linked together from the start way back from the original marvel comics in the 80s, so its not unusual they are making a movie together. The gripes more people have with it is how to balance things like, how strong the joes are in comparison to the transformers, some transformers fans dont like focuses on humans in their transformers media, how theyre going to split the focus etc etc. Personally, I think if done well it can work nicely and I like both franchises alot so Im tentatively excited.

Something I don’t think you mentioned for articulation is that he actually has drop down hips, so you can pull his legs down lower for a higher kick for some more dynamic posing. It’s pretty cool ngl

Yolopark does very good with their kits. the end picture of Optimus looks fantastic. As a Transformers fan this is probably one of the best purchases to make whether one is a superfan or a casual fan.

Thanks for the video. The Amk Pro of both Optimus and Megatron are solid figures. They are technically a build-a-figure more than a true model kit. The best thing about them is that you can fudge in your existing "transforming Transformers" with them. Now with the G.I.JOE and Transformers cross-over movie, it depends on your mileage. They are both owned by Hasbro and they had many cross-overs in the past. Skybound Comics is currently helming a shared universe between them and it's in early issues for you to jump in and get some cool photo ideas.

Great video Sirdork, as usual. The Transformer heart is the Autobot Matrix of Leadership he gave to Ultra Magnus just before he died, but he later came back to life so whatever! The rifle he has is called his Ion blaster, the human gun is Megatron, the leader of he bad guys, transformed into his alternate mode, a Walter P-38, which was an actual toy from forty years ago because in some ways Regan's America was awesome! 😋

As far as 80’s animated films go, it’s no Akira, but “The Transformers, The Movie” from 1986 is a classic. Animated in Japan by some big Anime production houses, and includes some A list voice talent-including Leonard Nimoy, Peter Cullen(of course), and notably, the Orson Welles as Unicron-the big bad-and it happens to have been Welles’ last film before he died. This toy and the accessories reference that film and the G1 animated series, so if you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and watch the movie!

$60 is a good deal. Some full plastic model kits are $40 or more from Japan. But it is misleading to say this is a die-cast figure. The paint is beautiful to make it look metallic. But it is mostly plastic of some type with some metal parts.

Also made my yolopark but more detailed than others and very realistic (not forcing) The gun is megatron's alt mode. Megatron has been in many alt modes even a dinosaur. The transformers that I know and grew up with was the bayverse and the transformers prime tv show so i don't know too much about G1 transformers😅 For the figure, it looks really cool for sure would get it if i could

You could probably add extra joints so that it's actually transformable if you're ok with the chest isn't flat in vehicle mode. From the latest Transformers comics, Prime ends up using Megatron's arm with the Fusion canon on it. For the price&quality it's actually great considering that it's likely just going to gather dust. For me, I'd' add extra parts to make it transformable.

I am a huge Transformers fan and have quite the collection but for photography these Yolopark ones are AMAZING. I gotva few shots of Prime and Megatron on my Instagram and I can't recommend them enough to people. They are so good and the poseability is top noch. Can't pull that off with regular Transformers

This is an amazing figure. My only complaint - and it's by no means a deal breaker, but just a personal aesthetic preference - is that the chest is far too angled. This was a common depiction of OP, but he always looked better (IMO) with a "flatter" chest. Gave him a more robust look. The new SS86 OP is my favourite looking OP, yet. But this figure is awesome. The Megatron is even better. Hot damn.
