Personally my whole take on the double fake our deaths at the end to just bring the two back was great. I mean think about it these are two characters we will NEVER see again so might aswell let them have a happyending

The movie was really enjoyable and it satisfies your slime craving till season 3 comes. The visual are are good and we get to see our favourite slime and gang once more. While the story does not add anything major it does however provides more context to odder primordial demons and more context on Ogre and what their life was before they meet rimuru. I do hope that we get to see Hiro and Towa once more their story was really interesting and a bit of tearjerker

I kinda felt like the everything was all over the place. For example the sudden appearance of Milim or the deal with Shion's cooking. I also didn't enjoy the fight scenes that much because noone was using their skills and it didn't feel like they were actually trying. Another thing I noticed is that rimuru got nerfed, normally he should be able to deal with all those demons and curses easily.

Yeah, they had to nerf Rimuru quite hard with those demons. They kind of fucked up having Rimuru face off with a guy way below his league. The novel deals with his problem by giving more spotlight in fighting to Benimaru and other subordinates. Honestly the movie should have done the same and just pulled out a reason why Rimuru should not fight and have his subordinates handle it.

Honestly, I was little bit... not really ok with 3 moments. First - Hiro vs Geld. Hiro really should have suffered some penalties because of that. At the very least more of a personal 'OH EFF"-kind of a moment - you just attacked one of top-brass of the nation you were suppoused to negotiate for help for your country (better yet, the whole request was your idea in the first place). Considering that ogres had (and still have) very japsneese-esque mentality - Benimaru and Hiro are basically samurais - that shouldn't be treated so lightly, Rimuru's easy-going look on things be damned. ...Which should have been rectified after whole Invasion and Demon Lord arcs, btw. 2. Speaking of which - Rimuru makes Temperst a little bit too fangless in negotiations with Raja. Yep, that country were on a pretty har times, but he still should have secured a little bit more of a profit for his crew. Especially when the whole thing with lands for cultivation is NOT Veldora's buisness anymore - it's Rimuru's. GFJ is his domain, as far all other Demon Lords and nations know. 3. Fake-out's deaths. Nope, I'm ok with both the queen and Hiro coming back to life... What irks me is Raphael is sitting on her ass. She should have had a way to stop degeneration of the Hiro's body. Instead we have a little too cliche of a scene with double sacriffice. Not really worh it, in my opinion.

I'm ok with not expanding on gelds guilt because it's a long arc he has been on for a while I'm sure they will touch on it more when he has to actually face it or something

I really liked it overall, and was happy with the happy ending. I agree that like you, I was a little disappointed with how Geld was handled. I think in most of the stories he always seems to get beat up compared to Rimuru's other companions and hasn't had a super heroic moment yet. I was extremely happy though to see a little more Diablo, and I hope he comes back into the group and has a little more to do in the future.

Considering I just got the Patreon as well this is gonna be fun :D I would say that I really enjoyed this movie (minus the ending) so I am really happy that you enjoyed it too! Just thought I would let you know that this movie is actually non-canon, it was just a side story that was written by the original author. That being said there is the argument that as it doesn't contradict the canon it could be counted as such, but that is up too you. My favourite moment without a shadow of a doubt was the Diablo portion, that was just absolutely insane and I loved every second of it.

Even though I knew everyone would be saved, I was still able to feel very angry towards Clayman and the people in Falmuth and be genuinely upset for those that were killed, even if it was temporary. I didn't feel anything like that for the movie characters. But again, I still enjoyed the movie a lot. Loved it even. It's a great, fun movie.

yeah totally fair opinion just giving my insight as well. personally to me slime doesn't have stakes in the way your MCs will die, it's more about how Rimuru builds tempest into the greatest nation and his enemies will typically die if they push too far. Though like I said here the second fakeout at the end did get me so they managed to mess with me still haha

Loved this movie :) funny thing from the point of view of LN reader- this story might not be canon, but all main characters that shows up are on point to their LN counterparts. As soon as Diablo said that he suspects someone my first thought was Violet :)

from the point of view of an anime only-rimuru got extremely nerfed and most of the fight scenes are boring and the ending feels way too forced to be a happy ending like come on man did they both really have to be resurrected and overall it is a mid movie and i give it a 5/10

In LN it was mentioned that one of primodials had a deal that failed with royalty and as far as violet, jaune and blance are concerned- they do whatever the hell they want. They are extremely wimsical and did even stranger crap in LN
