Yo guyz, it’s me Kseniya! AND I WAS AT TEMERINSKA PASULJIJADA! Omg this Serbian festival was just incredible! Big shoutout to @fklserbia6320, your guys are the best!
So, Serbia is known for its traditional Serbian dish pasulj. Basically it’s a bean stew but it can be very different depending on what you like to be in your dish. And in 2005 in a small Serbian town Temerin the history of this cooking competition started. More than 150 teams are competing every year! They all cook pasulj with their own take on it. Serbian food is great, but PASULJ omg! That was amazing experience to be there, to meet true Serbian culture and to taste awesome Serbian cuisine!

I can vouch for it: SERBIA IS FOODIE'S PARADISE! Most of my family emigrated to US decades ago and the only thing we are missing is Serbian food. Now don't get me wrong, 'Steaks and Chilis' in America are awesome, however, they is huge varieties of Balkans's dishes you just can't find in the States!

Definitely, the riblja corba(fish soup) competitions... unique blend of delicious taste, smell, beer, gemischt wine, hard booze, yelling, noise, music, and some hardcore cooking fanatics ready to die for victory...

Now don't get me wrong, 'Steaks and Chilis' in America are awesome, however, there is a huge varieties of Balkans's dishes you just can't find it here in the States! Greek restaurants and food come close to Serbian but can't compete - there is so much more we Serbs 'stole' from the cosine of surrounding countries, like Hungary, Bosnia, Turkey, Austria and even Greece and Italy that makes the variety hard to beat. And the quality/taste of the cooking ingredients is unmatched and I visited at least dozen countries and enjoyed their cosine. Now, visiting Belgrade is definitely a 'must' but it's also kind of 'tourist trap' and could be a bit pricey. For the testiest food in Serbia you have to be little more adventures and visit towns like Nis, Leskovac, Subotica ("Salash"), Vranje, Cacak and such with very affordable accommodations and tons of natural beauty along the way.
