G, Lake Anna looks like a peaceful piece of paradise. Those snakehead just look so vicious, yet beautifully patterned. I hope that their spread can be controlled. It would be terrible to see the native species pushed out. It's a lot like the situation we have around the Great Lakes of invasive Asian Carp. Fascinating conversation you were having about them. You caught some really nice bass and that was fun to see. Incessant rains and muddy water have really put the kibosh on my fishing this weekend. Great show my friend!

Visiting VA last year from San Diego, I caught a snake head. My parents live here and I fished a golf course that my pops is a member of. Top water frog and BOOM. Amazing fish.

Gman you were brave to bring that beast aboard. A friend and I were bass fishing in NE Arkansas many years ago and caught a bunch of big ones. They hit everything we used, tore up lures, sawed through line with those wicked teeth and thrashed around in the jon boat like rabid prehistoric monsters (which they are). Thus I'm not a big fan of "Mr. Smiley." Glad you found some decent bass. Don

IMO Snakeheads are here to stay and don't have as bad as an impact on the native fish populations as everyone thinks. Like you said largemouth and smallmouth bass are all over the country and in many areas they were introduced there, not native. Snakehead have just become part of the ecosystem in many water bodies and they are not as destructive as people think. Also, they are an awesome game fish that I think will bring a lot of fun to the freshwater fishing industries. Also, can you clarify that blue/yellow crankbait you were using? My favorite color cranks are blues and yellows lol.

Did you just make a referral to Star Trek? You caught all kinds of nice bass. I have no comment on invasive species since our Texas Parks and Wild Life Department made a mess out of our marine resources.

Let's see....here's a fish that gets 20lbs+; fights it's ass off; bites readily on a variety of baits; tastes great........hell, what's not to like. Bring them on and let the best fish win.

yes yes yes and yes. oh if you're on the east coast within 5 years they will be in every major body of water in my opinion. because of all the exact reasons you mentioned. they are to fun to catch and people want to fish them without driving 2 or more hrs. thanks for watching don't forget to subscribe for more and be safe.

They say snakeheads can travel overland. I doubted that until I saw two of them hitch hiking on Rt 95 along the Potomac. Bring em on!!!
