A lot of us around the world have been waiting in the OEM/3 Piece conversion to become a "trend". There are so many great OEM wheel designs that just come in horrible offsets/sizes. Great content.

Been catching up on your Japan vlogs and it has been nothing short of amazing. Like everyone else have been saying the production and quality of your vlogs have been top notch and only getting better. Really enjoyed the roll-in shots in this one. The framing and still camera shots are very reminiscent of the filming technique used by Ozu. Keep up the good work Joey!

Great video, you deserve more subs Joey. I really liked the 400R replica, something about the R33 always grabs my attention. Probably because it was on the cover of the HKS Goods Master back in the day when I started working there and was a halo car. My brain was so confused by the wheels on that Ishikawa S13. I was like, I know this wheel but I don't know at the same time LOL. It probably would never have dawned on me if you did say what it was!

I agree with Der your production is really something else….might I make a suggestion but have you ever thought of becoming a travel blogger instead? you probably don’t want to hear that as I can see your all about car scene but seriously I was more interested on your day to day travels and hanging out at restaurants shopping etc…..Like maybe expand outside of the car realm and do the whole touristy thing in Japan more shopping eating ….more people need to see your content which to me has this Asian American California vibe to it.
@THECHRONICLES2 жыл бұрын
I don’t exude enough excitement to be a travel blogger and I honestly would be bored out of my mind doing it. That’s why I’ve always just included snippets in all my work of regular life even though in the beginning no one really understood or cared for the noncar stuff. The production definitely helps when I’m fully invested in the product and I don’t know if just travel stuff will do it for me. I do appreciate the kind words though and I do take your suggestion as a compliment as well.

Some very nicely done cars, barring the excessive camber. Modified cars need to stay, stance, definitely not so much. The 400R at 6:10 is slightly heart breaking, whether it's a real 400R or replica.

I would never want to own anything that Clean, for the simple reason I wouldn’t want to Drive it in case I got it Dirty, it would end up just being an Ornament, just something to look at, which would be Crazy, a car should be Driven, not just looked at, take care people.

It’s sad to see you gloss over the VW’s. You can’t call yourself a car guy if you can’t show everyone love. I’m not a Honda guy but I watch your videos because I’m a car guy and see the beauty in every build I see. We all take ideas from each other and make it our own for the love of the game. 2 & 3 pc converted factory wheels was a German vw thing 10+ yrs ago now. Of course Nardo grey is an Audi color. BBS’ is a vw & bmw thing being they came stock and was easy for companies to make bigger lips for. At the same time the euro car guys are rocking Japanese wheels on their cars. I’m rocking Tom’s C7R’s on my Jetta. My point is to ask you to show the less popular cars (less popular to the majority of your viewers) please. I’d love to see that Berg Cup inspired MK1 Golf you faded away from. Or that old 5 series BMW. Or that mk1 scirocco that was outside in front of the white integra. Thank you, Ras

There are cars at this event that I have covered before in previous years of Wekfest Japan that I don’t go over again because they have either been covered in photos or video in the past. If you want to see them, go over the older content. I can possibly cover everything at this event because the videos would be too long and it’s also more work on my end.
