Yes, i think it was Unieks presence and personality what kept the colts in check! Jacobien was unexperienced in leading youngsters! It needs some training sessions, no doubt.

I was also thinking of poor Jacobien, panicking with those colts behind her. These colts did not fuss with Uniek! Uniek set a pace and never wavered, not being pushed by the colts at all. ❤😊

I have always loved horses, especially the Friesian. One morning recently, I was in a not-so-happy mood, and was on my way to run an errand. I was passing by a neighbor’s ranch, and lo and behold, they had just bought a Friesian. That awesome boy was really frisky right at the gate coming toward me as I was driving by. It certainly made my whole day look a lot brighter!!! I get to see them on you tube, but this was for real! They are, by far, one of the most magnificent animals on the planet.

The first video I saw was similar, Yvonne leading the way and one after another and another -so many all exactly alike! I had never heard of the Friesian horses! That's the leader of the three. And he's got the most testosterone... I constantly have to watch if he don't jump on the mare (and me 🙈) He want's to show what a great stallion he is.. lol

No, when he is about 3 years old we go to the stallion inspection with these horses. Maybe these colts are so good that they become an approofed stallion. When they are not good enough we sell them. The new owner can choose to gelding him or not.

Did a little research. Colts are Daan whose mom is Elsje. He’s the big brother of Jacobien, Hendrick both from mom Elsje, and Geertje from mom Reintje- all same dad, Alwin. Erik is the son of Richtsje. Dolf is the son of Wytske who was sold before I came to the channel. Elsje was sold to Canada then US. Richtsje was sold back to her previous owner (in Friesland) along with Sjirkje, but I think Richtsje was sold again. Pray all the mems ❤ and their sons are being “well” taken care of by their current owners.
