For the record: while summoning two doom dozers theoretically does work in a grind game, the more common way to otk was to use Megamorph on Doom Dozer to get the 8000 damage.

I remember going to a regional when this deck was in it’s prime. It woke a lot of people up about the importance of Solemn Judgement and that life points don’t matter.

I played in those early days when almost no one played Solemn Judgement, and we were all squeamish about cards that cost life points. Now it seems silly, but at the time there was only one dude in the local sanctioned scene who even played Solemn Judgement, and my friend and I thought it was foolish of him to be so foolhardy.

Earliest 07 versions of the deck ran Metamorphosis for Cyber Twin Dragon too. 2400+2800+2800=8000. It was banned on the same September list that limited Megamorph.

I was playing a progression series with one of my friends and she ran this strat during the GX era. While it was frightening at first... I learned to both play around it and beat it fairly effectively with most of my decks including batteryman

The game was slow enough for players to wait for all the pieces back in the day, and the Demise summon would almost always resolve since no one played Solemn Judgement, because we were all bad and thought life points actually mattered.

At its height, all the combo pieces were played with like triple copies and were ultra searchable through Manju / Senju / Bird, so it was kind of like needing to make a 4 card combo but with 9+ copies of each combo piece in your deck.

Yes it did need multiple pieces to pull of the combo but it was 2007 and 2008 the game was way slower then. Also you would run stall cards like swords of reveling light, nightmare steel cage, and gravity bind because it would allow you to slowly get your pieces and then Demise would just blow up your floodgates and allow you to otk

What also made the deck so great and popular at the time was not only how consistent it cpuld be but also bow budget the deck was compared to other top decks pf the time making it a very accessible deck for people.

I used mechanical chaser and comboed it with Dark Salvo into Darkstrike fighter, was incredibly consistent also ran 3 copies of royal decree so they couldn't trap hole the king. Once the king clears the field use my normal summon to summon dark salvo to use the mechanical chaser in my graveyard and Synchro summon the Darkstrike fighter, swing with both, then sacrifice Demise and Darkstrike to win with burn damage.

I ran a blue eyes version of this. OTK went ARA sending blue eyes to the GY, special summon Demise. Demise effect to wipe field. Normal summon Elemental hero Prisma. Show blue eyes ultimate dragon for prisma's effect, send blue eyes white dragon to the graveyard to change prisma's name to blue eyes. Dragon mirror the 2 blue eyes in the grave yard and Prisma for Ultimate dragon, equip ultimate dragon with mega morph and swing for game. More complicated but it was fun for a couple weeks until ARA got limited.

Also remember a build that had gear town and Gadjiltron dragon. Play gear town. Play advance ritual art. Sent two normal level 4 insects. Pay 2000. Summon Gajiltron due to Gear Towns effect. Banish the 2 insects for a Doom Dozer. Swing for OTK or even FTK.

advanced ritual art is a cool card until you play duel links. it is pretty much your only option to summon chaos max dragon since they changed the skill to give you 1 copy of chaos form, which also means if your playing a actual blue eyes deck and you, you know, summon your blue eyes (or even draw them) the card is no longer usable and chaos max dragon is impossible to summon without drawing the 1 copy of chaos form.

yes you can. But you cannot get their additional effect (they have good effect of you tribute 2 or less level). Also, you need multiple Normal Monster because the rituals have high level.
