Hugs Mandy, this is the way i see it . I am a mom of 6 i worked my ever loving ars off over the years i didnt even have time to think about makeup. I have 3 pat palettes and frankly i feel so special when i use them between me and me lol. Then were worth every penny and if I get some joy out of them i dont care what the world thinks. I should of been paid over 100000 a year to raise this lot so i can indulge occasionally i dont feel any guilt at all you shouldnt either !!!

I love Pat's shadow formula because it gives the most beautiful look with layering colors! Like if you wanted a golden olive green you just put that gold over the olive shade and holy moly it's so darn pretty! That white shade just transforms every shimmery shade into like a wet look on your eyes! I started out with the Divine Rose mothership and I've collected all her eyeshadow palettes and they're just so darn pretty! I think you'd really like the new quad she just released! It's more natural but has that duo chrome that adds some wow factor. The matte though is super pigmented so it will last so long!

I have seen les mis once and I sobbed! I love the music and hearing people talk about live theatre again makes me so happy! I actually had my first live performance today since June 2019 and it made me so incredibly happy! Today was my light day but tmr I have a ton of numbers in my show but I also go to see my students perform today! (I’m a 16 year old student teacher) and Eve thing I was running around like a mad man I was so so so happy to see my kids perform and am exited to perform tomorrow! Ok theatre geek moment over lol

I didn’t use paddle shaped brushes until I started preferring less coverage/minimal product. I paint a thin layer to get even coverage partially in problem areas. I’ve been really obsessed with celebrity/idol/Kpop Korean MUAs and they perfect base like nothing I’ve ever seen, many paint the foundation before really tapping it in, the techniques they use are 👩‍🍳💋! * get the NXY brow pens, they have tons of shades! I prefer that formula over urban decay, stila, abh and all the others I’ve tried.

The special shades are the 4 in that corner the one you used and the other three in that corner. I own all the Pat McGrath palettes and love her quality!!! Beautiful look btw. Love the brow b pen from nyx it’s great and they have lighter shade that should work for you. It’s called lift and snatch brow pen!! Got mine at Walmart. Their sweet checks blushes are great too!! Like a mousse formula!! Think you would love it!!

I did a look with that palette yesterday too 😍 but I used the dark brown as Crease and outer third, the lilac on the lid, the top 1st as under Brow highlight and the same special shade in the inner corner 😊 very simple but gorgeous 😉 The special shades are the 4 on the right side, usually a different formula, very sparkling and transformative (can be used as a normal shadow or as a transformative topper) 🥰 I like the Colourpop supershoc but PMG it's totally different experience 😅 And yes I don't regret having all her palettes 😁😂😂😂 Gorgeous look 😍 xx

There’s nothing wrong with treating yourself to a luxury product like the Pat McGrath palette. You work hard and you deserve it so don’t feel guilty about it!! You already bought it so enjoy it!! I like the Glossier brow flick because it’s not super pigmented and I find it much easier to work with than with really pigmented pens. I e heard the Lime Crime brow pens are really nice too but I’ve never tried them so I can’t say for sure.

I have one of those foundation brushes because I'm old 🤣, I use a kabuki style brush now, but I use my old foundation brush for masks now. Also, NYX makes an eyebrow pen called the Lift and Snatch, that comes in Ash Brown. I think that color would look ok on you. I use it for the front of my brows, and the eyebrow pencil for the rest.

I have seen Les Mis a bunch of times. Mostly in Sydney, but once on the West End in London in the 1990s. It’s my favourite musicals ever. I remember bawling when Eponine died, when Marius sang ‘empty chairs at empty tables’, and when Jean Valjean dies, the music is so amazing!!!!! Gorgeous look as always. I feel you on the price of the Pat McGrath palette. My ND Glam palette cost me $AU 110. Pricey, but I justify it by the number of applications I will get out of it 😂. Right now I am contemplating the PM celestial Divinity ($AU144). I can’t bring myself to pay the price of the very expensive PM or ND palettes, because they are up around $AU250.

Mandy, try the NYX ink pen in Taupe. That one will be perfect for you. I have brown hair and don't like my brows too dark and use the ink pen from NYX and love it. I have tried the Urban Decay pen in the Taupe and Light brown and definitely prefer the NYX one. And please enjoy your Pat McGrath palette and don't regret what you paid for it. It's a beautiful palette and you deserve it.

Hey the best brow pen (that i have found) is by Mac shape and shade, it’s got a pen and a brow powder on the other end. It’s not crazy pigmented and yet it lasts! love the look!

This Midnight Summer pallette is my favorite from Pat. Enjoy it and don't feel guilty about the price. With the sale it is very much worth it and it is also very visible that it is higher end eyeshadow, quality. It also lasts on the eyes forever and looks like you just applied it, not like muddy mess.

I actually use that kind of paddle type foundation brush for a little bit concealer or color corrector under eyes. It work somehow really gentle on sensitive skin and has a point to get into the corner.

I use that type of foundation brush for applying like liquid and putty like face masks and then just rinse it out every time between. I use my Marc Jacobs ones tbh. Hahaha bougie face mask application tool but it works great 👍

I got the ABH brow pen in soft brown and I thought it would be too dark for me but it's not it's very soft and the formula is soft it's not super pigmented it almost makes me wonder why even use it lol but some people may like that. So maybe try that one

NYX has a relly nice brow pen: lift and snatch brow tint pen. soft brown is quite light and neutral in undertone.

Agree! I have it in ash brown. Also the essence tiny tip precise brow pen in medium brown is pretty light but it‘s a felt tip and slightly more neutral colored whereas the NYX one is pretty cool toned if you compare them.
