Of course I will follow and I always check if you posted since they don't let me know anymore 👿. I was wondering if you heard of the case in Australia it's supposed to be the worst of the worst and it's about the boy Peter Aston, I don't know if I spelled the last name right . Two men in the military abducted him and his friend and brutally sadistically tortured this little boy and buried him alive . They let his friend live cuz he was street smart and asked if he can join in on the torture which he only hit him on the head a couple times with a shovel . So these evil people let the younger boy go. He had to do it or else he was next and he said that his friend Peter was to be a vegetable if he were to live anyways so it was probably Mercy for him to die. IDK . I have not heard anyone cover it yet and I can't believe no one has heard about this outside of Australia as far as I know I'm not sure . I understand if it's too much cuz it's the worst case I have ever heard and I've been a true crime fan and listen to all different kinds of cases for a very long time. It actually made me cry and I never cry about Homicide cases because I became numb to them . Words can't describe how horrible it is so if anyone looks at this case please be advised that it is the worst and will leave you with a gut wrenching broken heart for this boy.😢💔💔🙏🕊❤️🩹💗 RIP PETER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

I used to work in mental health and this sort of thing is one of the reasons I had my own mental health crisis. You go into the work hoping to help people and make their lives better. You genuinely want to make a difference. It isn't just some kind of saviour complex, I met some of the nicest, kindest and most caring people in my work who just wanted to do good in the world. I worked in the business for 20 years and, in that time, I was assaulted about a dozen times. One of my colleagues was murdered, and another suffered an attempted murder, there also sexual assaults as well. I would argue one of the assaults on myself was also an attempted murder, as they tried to stab me with a piece of broken glass, but I was able to fend them off. Death threats were a regular occurence to the point you'd just laugh them off but they were always in the back of your mind. Sometimes you could become the subject of a paranoid delusion in which you would be accused of awful crimes. This happened to me many times and it can get to you when you have someone shreiking at you about things you've never done. And so it goes, day after day, until you have nothing else to give and you realise that you're just pouring your soul into a bottomless pit. In my case, that's when I finally cracked, I became ill and wasn't fit for frontline work anymore. I won't say all my clients were like this, they weren't. I met some wonderful people who were fighting to live a happy, normal life. And even the problematic clients, it's not really their fault, their illness can take them to very strange places and they can become frightened, lost and confused. This can make them do bizarre things. It doesn't happen often but, when it does, the impact upon your life can be devestating and, sometimes, you don't walk away. Nicole Patterson was a kind and selfless woman. My heart bleeds for her, this type of thing is a daily risk when you work in this field and that is just wrong. I'm starting to believe that people with mental health problems and violent tendencies should be institutionalised for life as soon as they're identified. They're just not worth it.
@chrystaltemple48187 ай бұрын

This is absolutely fucking ridiculous. And really pisses me the fuck off. All the pain blood and suffering this man caused is on the hands of the judges and our justice system. If they actually gave him some real time and put him away then they coulda saved these woman from gettin raped and killed. But instead they gave him chance, after chance,after chance. Just to get out and reoffend. I know drug dealers that got more time than that. And they ain’t get not second chance either. Shits don’t make no sense to me.

Hey disturban, lawyer here. You mention that during his trial for Margaret's murder the "jury was never told of Peter's previous convictions". That's because in Australia (like the USA and most other countries based on English common law) evidence of a defendant's past criminal conduct is inadmissible (except in very rare circumstances). Prosecutors are not allowed to inform the jury of a client's past criminal convictions, because you cannot use evidence of past conduct to help prove guilt in about 99% of all criminal cases. You probably didn't even mean it how I interpreted it, but that one line to me made it sound like you thought it was out of the ordinary or a result of bad prosecution for the jury not to have been informed of his past criminal history - but that is in fact not only the norm but a very strict law that if it isn't followed, results in a mistrial immediately on appeal in like 99% of cases
@ckoritko8 ай бұрын
I can’t understand the rationality of this. Excusing cases without convictions is one thing, but to withhold the history of violent offenders is completely inexcusable to me. I know my opinion doesn’t matter, but damn. So many innocents could be spared….

I live in Melbourne but I’ve never really known exactly what this monster did. Now I know more I feel so sad about Nicole, and it really hit home as I’m training to be a counsellor as well. There’s something that often gets swept under the carpet and that’s the danger people working in these fields can face every day. Especially women, who are often seeing someone in a residential situation. When a client is referred to a service, their history is not always disclosed and while privacy is a massively important subject, it can mean young female workers are going into the house of someone who could very easily pose a significant threat. And frequently do. There are some horror stories out there. Nicole is one of them, and I think this is why so many people in these fields are doing a lot more online counselling. I’m disabled so I will be one of them. Poor Nicole, with her caring heart. Thank you for telling her story so respectfully.🤗

I struggle with wondering why these people get to live when they've taken even one life. Would it be so barbaric to lock them away in isolation forever? Is an eye for an eye truly immoral in these such cases? How can there be true redemption for such Godless people? Even people on death row get to live out many years before their turn on the list comes up, it just seems like such an insult to life itself and a smack in the face of the surviving loved ones of the victims. It's a tough discussion because simply killing for revenge is obviously not acceptable. But for a form of justice? Would that not be justice? How much allowance should these types of people get? I dunno, but there needs to be higher moral and spiritual standards infused into general society. What can really deter such evil? Is there even a way to?

@janetpendlebury68088 ай бұрын
I have never heard anyone say psychopaths are not intelligent. They are usually very intelligent, plausible and generally well liked by people who meet them. Take Ted Bundy for instance. Most psychopaths go in for jobs where these attributes help them climb the ladder to success, bankers, lawyers, clergy, politicians and salespeople.
