All I could think of during this interview was "get your hand away from his shoulder!" Not because Jimin can't take care of himself but because of how uncomfortable he looks.

This guy was attracted to Jimin and kept scooting closer to him. Jimin was uncomfortable and some of the guys were getting angry.

Suga and V were ready to throw down to get that guy off their Jimin. I have never seen Jimin so uncomfortable. By the end, he was practically climbing onto RM to get away from this jerk. His lean, closed posture, and pointedly not looking at the interviewer - when he always looks and listens - speaks volumes.

This was an awkward interview, though I have to say not as bad as any of the Ellen ones. Ugh! Poor Jimin! You could clearly see his discomfort. V and Jin didn't look happy At All! We got occasional smiles from the rest of them. Thankfully, RM did his best to keep the situation under control and act professional.

you nailed it. between only really addressing namjoon (even when namjoon is trying to translate and get the other members involved), making jimin uncomfortable, and the completely irrelevant questions, this is really one of the worst interviews out there. a lot of poor western interviews are so obsessed with comparing bts with other western artists, if not with each other (like asking them who's better at this or that) but this one is really a shining example of what NOT to do in an interview

This interview is so uncomfortable for BTS, especially Jimin. Maybe he thinks Jimin is pretty and fragile, but once he knows that Jimin has blackbelt..he messed with the wrong cutie😂.

for me its the most akward interview boys were so uncomfortable here specially jimin, my favuorite host as ARMY is jimmy fallon he always make boys comfortable.

I 100% agree with you, Shiki. The interview, as a whole, was terrible(I'm understating it). The interviewer had no business getting that close to Jimin and making him uncomfortable. Even if that wasn't his intent, that's still no excuse to make one of your show guests uncomfortable. Your a "Professional" interviewer. It's your responsibility to give your guests the main focus and respect and to make sure they're comfortable. You can see a point in the interview where Tae has a visible frown on his face. He did not look happy with how close the interviewer was to Jimin. Plus, that interviewer is the same guy who called ARMY "Insane". I'm glad they don't go on that show anymore, or at least, allow him to interview them again. Namjoon, indeed, handled this interview very well. If I were to interview BTS, I would go to great lengths to make sure they're comfortable. Like for example: I'd offer them beverages, snacks, and even invite them to play games. If shows and interviewers want groups as famous as BTS to come back to the shows, then trust between them and the interviewer needs to be established. If I was an interviewer, I'd want them to know that they can trust me by asking meaningful questions to give them the respect that they deserve. Loved your commentary on the interview, Shiki. ommgg thats the guy who tweeted he had a BTS hair afterwards and when we called him out for being weird he said we were just jaleous because he met them and that most of us never will and that if we were true fans we should have been excited about it.....

Jimin did look uncomfortable but he is goid at smiling it off and being professional and very well mannered and poised. He doesn't need protection he can handle it he can take care of himself. He isn't obvious with his emotions. 5:53 he crosses his legs as he it closer but im not sure

This interview is painful to watch. The interviewer is really weird and have bad vibes. I don't know him but I don't have good feelings about him. Jimin is beyond uncomfortable. RM do what he can to answer weird and some stupid questions. The other members are pissed off, Taehyung don't bother to hide it. Everybody seem to want this interview end very quickly. The only time they smile is when RM talking about Halsey. Even Hobi is not a sunshine here and don't talk like always or make fun noise and joke. The atmosphere is very heavy. In addition the interviewer cut them off often. For me, this is one of the worst interview with Ellen Degeneres 😠😩 I don't know if I must thank you Shiki for this reaction because it was painful to watch.😅 But thank you anyway because I liked hearing your thaughts about this ankward and weird interview. 💜

He obviously had not even listened to the album or even the lead single. Jimin is leaning away and the closer he gets to him, the more pi$$ed off the members look. But they are as professional as ever. Tae says it all for us. I think there was a bit of an on-line war between this guy and ARMY. He made some problematic comments about BTS and when ARMY fired back he said something like, 'well I got to meet them and you didn't. You are only jealous of me'. Or words to that effect. What a twat.💜

I agree with everyone regarding how awful this guys interview went. First I've never seen an interviewer sitting so close to a guest and the look on Jimin's face said it all. Like dude, why are you up on me. For a minute there I thought, is he trying to hit on Jimin?! This was such an awkward interview and like someone said in the below comments, Jimmy Fallon is the best and the guys love him!

This guy was straight out creepy. I felt like grabbing Jimin through the tv screen just to get him out of there. Jimins expression through the whole interview says it all. Big credit to RM for being so professional even in the worst situations. Not a peep out of any of the members which is unusual for our guys, we know how chaotic they always are. This guy really freaked them out I think.

No doubt the worst interview. He was disrespectful and treated the guys like they live in some hole someplace, saying they don't understand the big deal that being on SNL was. Joon did a great job. Jimin could not have been more uncomfortable, and when the interviewer "got comfortable" ir reminded me of a high school kid putting moves on his date. Jimin's body language could not show his discomfort more. Yoongi, Jin, Tae...even Hobi looked like they were ready to give this jerk a beat down. Of course, Jimin just needed to throw an elbow and dude would be paste. He got way too close.

Tae, who is usually friendly is totally closed off, his arms were tightly crossed the whole time. No engagement at all, even Mr Sunshine J-hope was restrained. How is this man an interviewer, he has no personality at all, or any real interest in his guests. All for attention for him.

I might be mistaken.... but I think this is also the guy who took pictures of a piece of hair and tweeted that it was a BTS hair... then went on how he'll be rich because he's going to sell it to ARMY. He then called us a bunch of names, said BTS doesn't know us and all that. Some of this started before that interview so that could be part of the reason they were uncomfy. Because he was already engaging with ARMYs, but it wasn't going well.

Shiki, this interviewer is actually known and infamous for being too close for comfort, especially for Jimin. They speak of the "Jimin effect on men," but the excessive touching is not cool.

Even Jimin..doesn't matter abt Jimin's martial arts or strength.. they are in a foreign country...I don't think they want to get into any physical altercation and negative publicity..or any publicity of the wrong kind.

It is. I think that was one of the reasons for the tension. I believe the guys saw how this guy treated ARMY, talking down to them and bragging. Unfortunately, his comment about his popularity increasing due to BTS was legit. He's an ego maniac. 😮

sorry I feel the urge to say, by this point having watched too many cringy English language interviews, that I guarantee the Western artist collab question proves the interviewer knows nothing about their discography, the records they've broken and the 10+ yr impact they have -- and worst of all, they couldn't be bothered to find out. But they sure do want the crossover clout of BTS talking about superstars on their channel. Would it be too rude if they ever face this type of weak interview again, after protecting their country, that they just can get up and leave?

Really not that bad. For Western audiences that don't know them, mentioning Halsey creates a familiar reference point. It made other western artists less resistant to working with BTS. As Boy With Luv had just broken a record, to not mention her at all would have been disrespectful.

Absolutely the worst interview. The guys were clearly not comfortable and not being their usual chaotic selves. Also, the interview was supposed to be about BTS but he kept naming western artists. He did not respect them at all.
