I was looking at my father's quad the other day and suddenly it hit me: he's owned that quad since before I was born, and the quad was built the same year I was born. We're both 30 years old! The 300 FourTrax is just an unreal machine, top to bottom. Sadly I used to beat the shit out of that quad as a kid since I really belonged on an MX bike, but regardless, when I asked him what work he's had to do he just shrugged. "Change the oil, clean the air filter, just regular maintenance really, and one CV joint". Uses it for hunting, and uses it every single day during the summer, for work. I don't think there's any piece of equipment on the face of the earth that can offer that level of reliability. I used to jump it out of sand pits onto a flat landing ffs.
@davidbrennan55 жыл бұрын
@@SampsonGG The early ones were built in Japan and they were the best. The only weak point was the rear axle splines if you didn't change the oil yearly and rear hubs that came loose after a while and would strip out the splines from heavy towing along with those drum brakes that seized up if you didn't care for them.
