They are highly influenced by linkin Park. Taka and Chester were good friends. It's funny that you mentioned Ed sheeran. They co-wrote a song, "Renegades" I personally love the storm of the eye album. And ambitions. After watching the great reaction i got a few recommondations. The songs you reacted to are more of the popish rocksongs of OOR and you mentioned that your wife may be more of a fon of them so here are 3 songs you can react to with her: 1. Good Goodbye ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZOkpXSgaNp0hZY ) This is a beautiful ballad the leadsinger Taka wrote for a close friend that died. The performance is raw with emotions and you can really see what Takas voice is capable of. 2. Wherever you are ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnPIi313Zc-Vh7s ) Another beautiful slow song with a great rendition as the group members play some different instruments that normal. 3. 1000 Miles cover ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4q4m5WMfq6Lf6c ) Pretty arrangement of a classic. 4. You mentioned that your wife listens to BTS and KPop. OOR actually made a short 20 second clip of a rock cover of Dynamite from BTS where they dance to. Im not sure if all of the members danced before but the e-guitarrist (Toru) and the bass-guitarist (Ryota, who is funnily married to the sister of Avril Lavigne) where trainees aswell i think, or at least had dance classes. You can find the clip on KZbin if you just seach "One Ok Rock - BTS". OOR is actually also kinda popular in KPop or at least in the playlists of the Idols as there are many clips where Idols from different groups listen their music. Han from Stray Kids actually sang a short part of "We are" in an interview ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKm2la1uj9qjo7c ) But OOR also has some harder songs which they mainly wrote at the beginning of their career which you might want to check on your own if thats not the cup of tea of your wife. 1. One by One ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/npmpY4WofbxmfpY ) One of their harder songs with great audience. 2. Stuck in the middle ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX3diHtuaah0fMk ) This is a super hype song where you just want to sing and jump along with and also a bit heavier. 3. Ending Story?? ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3rKcmqehNh3nsk ) Another more heavy song of them with some rapping and a great scream. There is also an orchestra version of this song but I prefer this older version tbh. There are of course lots of songs to check out and these are just a few that I personally can recommend. Hope you check out some of them and they wont get blocked as sometimes there can be issues with some popular videos from them. But I think with filter over the video and some pauses it shouldnt be a problem.

Also, if you want pure raw emotion, look up One OK Rock Take What You Want Ambitions Japan Dome tour 2018. They did that right after Chester Bennington died, so there’s a really long moment of silence they built in as they were supposed to be touring with them. The fact that the whole crowd didn’t make a sound for like 30 seconds straight is nuts to me.
