One Ok Rock- Nobody’s home live at Yokohama arena!!! This song is also very emotional and he is crying during this performance This song is an apology to his parents Taka dropped out of high school to pursue music and his parents were not supportive of his dream So this song is very personal
@lilyblack19794 жыл бұрын
Because his parents are famous singers, so they know how hard it is to pursue music.
I'm so glad you enjoyed that, I think it makes the world a better place just by existing. A few days ago I found the whole programme on KZbin, the making of this event. The band advertised across Japan for 18 and 19 year old people to send in a video audition to show why they should be part some unspecified performance with the band. They watched the videos of people singing, dancing, cycling ridiculous distances, and thousands of other odd things to show their abilities and determination. 1000 were chosen and brought together in groups around the country where they were trained by a professional voice coach, who actually worked with Taka on a regular basis, to sing this song. Eventually they all came together for the performance and, as you saw, smashed it in a single take. Several of the 1000 were followed on their journey and it was very inspiring and emotional. There's nothing about this event that I don't love. On an unrelated note, just because I'm excited, I got tickets to see the band in London this coming December! I couldn't be happier right now. Thanks for the video, it's contributing a lot to my happiness.

In addition to what Caradoc93 has mentioned, the main purpose of this was to kinda break the stereotype where "18-year-olds are still not mature enough" and the like, its like the spot where you're not a children anymore, but still get treated as kids and not old enough to be "an adult". With that, NHK (Japan's national public broadcasting organisation) started a project called "18 Fes" for them to pour out their feelings and emotions, with the collaboration of ONE OK ROCK, who have huge influences on the youngsters in Japan. And to be more specific, the pre-requisite for the videos were "Seriousness" and "Enthusiasm". And what followed was what Caradoc93 has mentioned, and finally in this video. On a side note, the documentary also shows that some of the participants had difficult past experiences or with concurrent difficulties from various causes. All the more reason why this is so emotional. P/S: Do correct me if I'm wrong anywhere. Cheers.

You don't know how loud i screamed when i saw this on yr playlist. Thanks a lot for the reaction, and couldn't thank you enough for spending your time to find the video and made the reaction.. I know it's kinda complicated to make a reaction video to japan stuff bcs they are more strict for their copyright, esp for the live perf. As always, I do really enjoy watching your video and you're one of the best youtuber that doing this reaction stuff. Esp when others get & understand the message that OOR wanted to convey, not only to their fans, but also to all around the world. It's so touched and emotional to see how people perceive OOR as a band, and from your words on every video. That shows that they have succeed in changing the perception of others towards rock music. Just like me, at first i thought rock is just a loud music, so i never willing to listen to any of them, but OOR is definitely send you some powerful and meaningful message that you never expect to receive from a band thru music.. in which sometimes they made us to think more about something that we never care before.. yet it's very significant. I'm so glad to stumble into your video from heartache until now, you've worked so hard! 💕

WOW!!! thanks 🙏 arigatou !👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✌️😁✌️❤️🇯🇵 Here’s Taka’s definition of “ROCK” means; “ I think the definition of “rock” changes depending on the band itself and the generation. There’s not one solid definition... I think “rock “ means your ability to find a connection between your way of living and the way you do your music. For us, if you can work hard on something, never give up, keep doing on what you do and move forward, I think that the best definition of “ ROCK n ROLL.”

Both parents lived comfortablly as children of a famous singer,taking exams at super-famous prestigous schools ranging from Kindergarten to university. I became a Junior highschool student and made my debut as a member of an idol group from entertainment production,but due to my father's opposition,I withdrew from the idol group and quit production in order to concentrate on my studies .Then,after going on to highschool and going through a year,he decided to go on the path of music,overwhelmed his father's opposition and volantarily dropped out of highschool. As a result,he was disowned by his father and then his parents divorced due to differences in educational policies.The children were taken over by their mother,but Taka a left home,worked part-time and lived on his own.attended a music school,learned to play the guitar and write songs,and began his career as a singer-songwriter. He said that be made this song because he had a past and wanted to tell from his own experience that if he pushes forward with pass ion.he will open the way without misleading or lying about what he wants to do,Think.That's why I think this song will strike everyone's hearts!

I saw One OK Rock in Albuquerque a few years ago. They were fantastic and I was so grateful for a band from Japan to play here. I usually have to go to LA or SF to see great groups from Japan and still that is very rare. America just doesn't get it and is so living in the past. I'm just grateful that I have access to the music and culture from Japan and S. Korea. I may be the only one here but I'm not alone because there are people all over the world who do get it.

Knew you guys would love this. One Ok Rock went above and beyond for "We Are", and then rocketed it up into space when they wanted the kids to be part of it. Such amazing emotional impact that just hits you. Another fun little thing about One Ok Rock is that for many of their newer works like "We Are", they've made 2 versions of the song. One is in their classic Japanese and English combo, but the second one is entirely in English. Now, the literal meaning of the lyrics does often change between the 2 versions, but the messages and themes all stay the same. So, if you guys are curious, here's a link to the English version of *_"We Are"._* kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIaWYWqqi5hleJI
