Takaの声はぶっといレーザー光線みたいだな。真っ暗闇を真っ二つにする白くて眩しすぎる光だ。 少し怖く感じるのは、ずっと「目を開けろ、立ち上がれ、負けるな」って追いたててくるからだ。それは多分Taka自身がデビュー当時から自分に対して執拗に投げかけてきた言葉だろう。親の七光り、ジャニーズでの不祥事、メンバーの脱退、米国デビューの壁、うまくいかないことばっかりだろう。今だってきっとトントン拍子じゃない。 僕はTakaみたいにがむしゃらに走ることはできない。決めたことを簡単に変えることもある。Takaの描く歌にたいしては後ろめたいことだらけだ。それでも途方もなく憧れる。 「We are 」かぁ…… ONE OK ROCK どこまでカッコよくなるんだ……

ONE OK ROCK didn't make Japanese songs before. (yeah, there are exceptions, especially if you include a few English words and phrases here and there common to Japanese music- don't list them) They made songs in Japanese+English- big sections of Japanese, big sections of English. How many bands can do that? You know, with someone that can both actually sing well, and frankly can sing the English almost fluently? Not a whole lot. That's something ONE OK ROCK could do... and did very well... perhaps better than anyone else. Why does the switching matter? Because it emphasizes certain parts of a song. It's cool. Other groups try to do it, but their English sucks. And their music isn't as good anyway. How many bands can sing songs in English? Look, they're a good band even if they just sing English, but that's something literally all the bands here can do. Maybe they're a little better than most because they're better musicians and Taka is a good singer and performer, but using both Japanese and English, well, was that special something that really no one else can do.

Well, I'm sick and tired of always seeing people complaining about bands taking a new direction or "changing their sound" they're trying different things, they grow as people and as a band.. Yes, I too love their songs with most japanese the most, BUT that doesn't make their new stuff bad. Taka's voice is so amazing, and OOR can get away with everything in my world because of Taka's voice. I just love their music! But even if I didn't I just wouldn't complain, but respect the bands decisions and growing. Over and out.

They aren't "growing".Keep up with their interviews if you do consider yourself as a fan you claim to be,they did this to gain more American audience.Taka himself doesn't like some songs from this album.Plus they are a band,performing songs like the one's from Ambitions where the bassist and a talented drummer like Tomoya is useless is just a shitty change of music.Plus they also said they won't care for the audience next time so they will be making music they like.

Ramuh Fallen I actually won't say Mighty Long Fall describes them the best.Jibun Rock I think is one of the songs like Kanzen kankaku dreamer which expresses them the best and that defines whom they were as a band.

自分を誤魔化し生きることに意味はあるか？ って歌詞 自分を誤魔化し生きることに意味は無いよ。って決めつけられてるのではなく ほんとにその生き方に意味はあるのか？って問いかけられてる気がして とても心に刺さる。 18祭フェスで聞いた時は ただかっこいいとしか思わなかった歌が いまは意味を理解出来るようになった。 もっと意味のある生き方をしなければ。そう奮い立たせてくれる歌です。

"Bombs Away" in the studio jam session is better than the official in my opinion. I agree that "We Are" is the best in the new albumn. Taking Off comes to the next in my list. 20/20 maybe follows... I really don't know what to say about "One Way Ticket"...

As in there new direction, if they want to try new paths thats totally fine but theres a line between trying new things to get new fans and trying new things for personal goals.
