Martin Sheen is one of the most humble actors I have ever met, Years ago me and my ex husband were traveling back home and stopped at a truck stop and Martin bought us dinner, He refused to acknowledge himself as a movie star but was only an actor. He seemed to be more interested in our lives than he did talking about himself. Not much of a person who is a big fan of any person but in my book Martin is a good man, Wish we could have had the time to get to know him a little better but I will always remember that day

Have always been a fan of Martin Sheen. Seems like a down to earth soul. Since this interview his son Charlie hit bottom. As a parent that had to be heartbreaking. I met and shook hands with Martin Sheen back in 2011 when I was working at the AMC Theater in Olathe Kansas and he was there to preview his latest movie. When he walked up into the bleachers for a photo op with our staff he asked my name and we shook hands. I mentioned that I'd seen Apocalypse Now and Platoon and his face lit up! What a wonderful man and awesome actor, these few moments will be etched in my memory forever!

My mother is a flight attendant and she told me she had Martin Sheen on a flight one time, and he had Emilio and Charlie with him when they were young boys. She said he was very classy and well mannered. She had lots of nightmare brats on planes she had to deal with before that had bad manners. She said she would never forget how kind Martin Sheen was unlike other passengers she had to deal with.

I've always found Martin Sheen so genuine. A very honest man who was able to attack his demons. I think he speaks from the heart about Charlie. I have no doubt everything he says about him is true. I hadn't seen photos of Charlie in over a year. So when I saw a recent short interview of Charlie I was shocked and saddened. He is so very thin and has definitely aged considerably.

This interview took me to a different place regarding Charlie too. I try my darndest to just take him for a joke but the more I watched this clip the more I saw the vulnerability of a lost soul of a father grieving the loss of his baby boys' life potentially (and if nothing else the loss of his innocence and his joy in his life) let alone a father/grandfather to Charlie's older daughter! You see a man here who is trying his DARNDEST to get into Charlie's heart and his yuckiness of his life but is failing miserably! I know this is a year out and such but what evidence do we have Charlie won't become a statistic in the next year even?
