Welcome to another episode of ‪@PastTheWireTV‬
You may think you know Michael Iavarone, but after this show you'll have seen another side of this man you just might nit be that familiar with. Michael sits down for some One on One Q and A with our own Jonathan Stettin and this is one interesting conversation. Michael shares a lot of his philosophies about life, The Sport of Kings, perception, heart, and more.
Now you know with these two talking there has to be some fun spots, and indeed there are. Find out who watches races naked and why. Watches, cars, vanity plates, nothing but fun and Nobody Does It Better.
We think you will come away with a new perspective on Michael Iavarone and appreciate him for both his passion and contributions to the sport.

Big Brown win was huge, sadly though people often forget Eight Belles, the filly who remarkably finished 2nd then broke down after the race, I remember it like it was yesterday, now already 14 years have gone by

20:30 that’s what I want to try and do…bring the young people to my channel and help it grow! Get the younger crowd involved. My analytics are HEAVYYYY in the 50-59, 60-69 year age. Lol sports betting has taken over going into more states but when it comes to states like mine - Texas, I can’t even use TVG/NYRA/Twinspires, just offshore books only, it sucks if you’re not near a legit track.

A very interesting interview, I have a little trouble trying to like this guy. He is very cocky and I don't see any reason for the sunglasses during an interview. Wish you would have asked him a couple questions about Dutrow what he thought of him as a trainer a person and the suspension.

Great interview sir. Damn that’s crazy so a new person with a lil $ that wants to get into the game can’t even compete cause the top owners have the best trainers with dozens of horses for them to train😕😕😕 I mean damn how can that change?

@ 20:22 'As far as the sport and bringing in young people...' I suggest more emphasis on money management and less on playing the gimmicks. There's no accountability among the talking heads. They make their recommendations race after race, but there's no come-to-Jesus moment when we see the comparison between money bet and tickets cashed. Of course, you never see them pass a race because it's unplayable. The younger generation isn't stupid. They seem to be careful with both their money and their time. It may sound counter intuitive, but emphasizing W-P-S betting over gimmicks, making paper bets before betting real money, and going in with a set limit on how much will be bet might appeal to their intelligence. Above all, it's about the horses. If they appreciate the horses and the work that goes into training them, then perhaps they will become fans. I know you guys are into cashing the big tickets, and that's fine, but for most of us, the sacrifice in time that it takes to make this work isn't worth the effort. It would be more healthy for the sport to fill the grand stands with $2 bettors making realistic guesses about plausible outcomes than to tout imaginary rainbows of Hi5 carryovers that have more in common with playing the lottery than betting on horses.
