I realized when Reagan was president that I really didn't believe in what the Republicans stood for, after trickle down tax cuts and the firing of striking air traffic controllers, among other things. I also didn't quite fit as a Democrat.

The point I want to make is, that when the United Empire Loyalists attacked the White House In 1812, not only did they give The First Lady time to remove personal belongings, and they did not enter the property with a British Flag.

For me, Reagan, himself, was grounds for worry. A mediocre actor, who got celebrated for his wooden delivery but mastery of memorizing his lines, does NOT equal any kind of leadership talent. This man, whose family was saved by the new deal, a cornerstone of which was support for the idea of labor unions, did all that he could to shackle them! I found him an affront! But her discourse on the march to trumpism was absolutely mesmerizing!

I always get something new when I read the writings of, or listen to interviews with Dr. Richardson. She frequently confirms what I've seen through the years, and echos so many of my own concerns. I sometimes feel people aren't seeing it, because they seem blithely unconcerned. This troubles me deeply. Thank you for interviewing her, and for the great questions! We need more of the public to be exposed to the troubles we are experiencing, and she's one of the very best when it comes to enlightening all of us about the dangerousness of this moment in time.

Sometimes, I feel like she's the only voice of wisdom, coupled with impeccable knowledge of US History and thereby has extraordinary ability to read what is happening and the direction we are heading. And no, she is neither of the present-day Republican or Democrat, but of a politic that would usher this country towards the ideals of the wise, compassionate but pragmatic leaders that helped shape the US to be the best in the world. I hope Kamala Harris, if she becomes President, will hire her, or at least consult with her on how to best move forward to unite Americans.
