Question, I will be staying at one & only mirage. Is there a boat transfer to other locations and if so, is there a fee?

Hi mate. I just want to say i have been watching your videos for years and i very much enjoy them. I have stayed at the Sheraton The Palm Resort and i absolutely loved it. The next time i visit i would like to stay at Zabeel Saray. Is December a good time to visit? Is it hot enough to swim in the ocean and pool? When i visited, it was in August and extremely hot and a little too hot for my liking. Thanks in advance and keep the videos coming!!!

Dubai is hot all year round. Being Northern Hemisphere December should be cooler, so yah I'd reckon December a cooler time. I remember going there once and like 50 celsius - too hot to do anything... enjoy your visit...

Hi Raj. Another great video from the UAE. I stayed at O&O The Palm during the beginning of 2014 and absolutely loved it. The design features are some of the best I have seen in a five-star hotel for a while, from the countless water features to the frequent use of marble around the hotel to the staggering pool tile pattern and finally the subtle lights hidden around the hotel at night. It's truly an architectural masterpiece. How did you enjoy the 101 Restaurant and Bar? I found it to be distinctly well maintained with a expansive range of cuisines. The service was impeccable and food flavoursome. Keep up the great videos as always.

+Maxamoh Hi, looks a really nice hotel. I was staying at O&O Royal Mirage on mainland - lucky I looked thru hotel guide, to see they have free boat transfer to O&O The Palm - did rack my brain where to stay - in the end hotel solved problem - both. 101 Restaurant had great food - could have stayed longer but had stuff to do on the day. O&O are really great hotels. I've stayed their Le Saint Gerain Mauritius, loved the place, so stayed again... thanx for the vid tribute ;-)

Hi Raj, - another detailed video! Made me feel like i was there, thanks :) I am only 15 yet, Like you, i have passion for Travel and Dubai in particularly, I hope that as i get older i will have the opportunity to travel as much as you. I have persuaded my family to visit UAE numerous times in the past year on vacation and we are planning to go back soon, we are not sure where to stay this time and we want to try somewhere new. My question to you therefore is: What is your favourite hotel that you have stayed in in Dubai/Abu Dhabi? And Why? Many Thanks, Patrick :)

+Patrick Buckley Hi Patrick, you sound very mature for a 15 yr old - good sign for the future. Curiosity as you demonstrate is always a good thing, and I wish you well convincing your family to get on the plane to UAE. Its a lovely place. I'll give you 3 hotels in UAE - 1) Burj Al Arab - yah its the world's 7 star iconic hotel. Sail shaped, all rooms 2 floor suites, pure luxury. 1000 pounds a night, 80 pounds for cheapest dinner main course in restaurant. Tiger Woods played golf off helipad, like Agassi and Federer played tennis there. Place to brag about. 2) Anantara Qasr Al Sarab - video here this month. Out in the desert, but a 3 hour drive from Abu Dhabi. The Empty Quarter is the worlds largest desert stretch, where this hotel is. Lovely hotel, and 250 pounds a night. Lots of activities there (I did camel ride). Sand dunes in desert amazing. 3) Atlantis The Palm - great family hotel. Relaxed and luxurious. Relaxed place is the key here, very laid back. No snobbery. They have a waterpark, which as a 15 yr old you'll love with all the rides, free for hotel guests, aquarium, and a lovely hotel. Let me know how you get on there. Happy travels mate...

+MrKesavaraj Hi Again. We have stayed at Atlantis before, but parents thought it too crowded and busy. I would love to visit the Burj Al Arab but i think a bit too expensive for the moment. I will be sure to mention the 'Anantara Qasr Al Sarab' To my parents. Also, The Maldives is another destination which we are thinking about visiting, However we are worried about possible issues with Mosquitos and are unsure about what time of year is the best time to visit to ensure sunny climate. Do you have any advice? By the way, I believe that the hotel on the palm you pointed out is actually a 'fairmont' property, trading under the name of 'Fairmont the Palm' . Thank you for your reply, Keep enjoying life and keep travelling! Patrick :)

+Patrick Buckley Hi Patrick... yah Burj Al Arab is expensive. So you've seen my Shangri La video with the guy spraying Mosquito's. Place fine all year round - straddles the equator. Thanks for the correction Westin v Fairmont. Happy travels, my 15 year old friend. You are smart...

+MrKesavaraj Raj, yep seen most of your videos. Its like an escapism after a rubbish day at school! People like you inspire me - i hope to travel like you one day. You are obviously very successful, Do you have any advice for me that you wish you knew when you were my age ? Thanks again, Patrick :)

+Patrick Buckley Hi Patrick, thanx for watching the vids, hope you like them. Escapism is a good word - my profile photo on channel has me on a boat in Fiji with Escapee written on the side. Life is a grind, and travel is fun. Advise to 15 year olds - study hard at school, get into Uni, study hard at Uni. Get a decent job. Planet Earth differentiates about age 30 in developed places. You saw Tim Peake, age 43, first British Astronaut at International Space Station - best travel and hotel in world (well the ISS is not in the world)... Since you ask about hotels - first time I went Hong Kong - age 21 at Uni - loved travelling. STA had cheap flights 199 pounds to HK. Thats all I could afford. A week in Hong Kong - alternate nights in youth hostels and out with no bed. Thats how I started travels. Now its 5 star hotels, for the hard work at Uni. Thats my advise to young kids - work hard at school and Uni. The options will come. Patrick, I wish you the best in your future endeavours. Need any advise, just ask mate. Rgds. Raj

Hello Raj,this hotel is very large...I think that Vatican City fits there eheheh. I think that was one of biggest hotels that you were. -You discover very odd places!This hotel is like a dream. When I finish my degree I think that i will do what you do,traveling should be the best education.

+Jose Franco Travelling is the best education and broadens one's perspective of the planet. The climate change agreement in Paris yesterday - amazing to see the planet pull in one direction. We're all the same...

I like the way you added your custom graphics at the beginning and throughout the video. Well done. What app was used to create and then insert the titles/graphics into the video? On my visit to Dubai way back in ~2009 I stayed at the "Residence" portion of the One and Only in Jumeirah Beach. Now, with that free connecting boat ride, I can take in both properties!
@MrKesavaraj7 жыл бұрын
The App I used then was the Sony Playmemories App (my video camera Sony) - it was in the early days, before I learnt how to use iMovies on Apple Macbook. The video doesn't come thru in 4K so switched to iMovies. Can still be done iMovies, just haven't bothered... The O&O Dubai is a great hotel, the Residences must have been very nice. I got in late about 9pm to the Arabian Court O&O after Formula 1 Abu Dhabi, so plumped for a standard room then. The boat ride between The Palm O&O and Jumeirah O&O is a great idea - need a restaurant reservation for the journey technically speaking, but they don't check...

FYI: The Residence & Spa portion of the O&O hotel complex reportedly had only about 50 rooms so it felt like being in a private home - sort of!
