to put this into perspective in 1993 i said to one Peter Brock , "when are you guys going to get fast ?" he replied " fair go ,we are doing 1.32's , isn't that fast enough ?" i said "nah , the bikes are still faster " didn't want to admit the ONLY bike was Mick Doohan's Rothmans Honda GP bike at 1.30.15 , the current V8 Supercar lap record is 1.27 set in 2020 by McLaughlin , million +dollar specialist racing machinery and these guys are using modified road cars and going 10 seconds a lap faster !
