For guitar players and singers. In this video we talk gear and how to set up a one-person band arrangement, so you can create live loops with authentic sounding drums, and mutli-toned guitar parts using a series of pedal all mixed together.
This is a great set up for add ing dynamics to solo shows, keeping practicing fun, improving your jamming skills, and your improv chops.

My setup. Godin A6. Transducer into mixer. Electric into a modelling pedal. I have a Korg PA600 to play drums and bass. It is controlled by home-made midi pedal. This pedal sends chord changes to arranger and harmonized. (Harmony m) Also sends intro, variations, endings. I use mobilesheets to load tabs and load song into the arranger. I will often find a lead guitarist to join me. I can switch songs in seconds.

That's quite cool, but you lost me at home-made midi pedal. Haha - above my ken. I'm more analogue with arrangements, but use Onsong for charts, etc. Thanks for the feedback.🤙

Pretty cool, a lot of gear though, I did something similar - my guitar goes into a zoom G1Xfour then into a mini NUX amp (as a preamp) the headphone out then goes into a digitech Trio+ (powered by a back up battery) which then goes into a Roland street ex (eliminating the mixer) the drum output of the trio goes into the streets' line in, I use a Shure mic, into a zoom v3 into the Mic input of the street, I also pick off signals to send to a tascam DR-40 to record - every thing can be powered by battery - it can go to the park or where ever.

Sounds like a good set up. I didn't set out with this in mind, so I was just using what I had already and added the ditto 4 because it syncs well with the beat buddy. I use this if I'm doing a solo show, but a pared down set up for busking, which is much more manageable. Thanks for the feedback. It's always good to hear what others come up with.

I brought a Godin guitar with nylon strings and a built in guitar synthesizer years ago. Unfortunately the D string used to cause runaway feedback all the time. I sent the guitar back to Godin and they weren't prepared to do anything about it so $2300 down the drain. I regret that I didn't buy the solid body version but I was pretty devastated.

That's too bad, and a little surprising. Those are popular guitars and are sworn by many players.

although it takes balls to get up and fill the stage by yourself, these things fit for practice. recording ...maybe. never did like the solo stuff. mostly sounds generic and sterile, and i wont mention too fake. did i mention that? there is nothing like a full band of live people, talent levels, influences, styles and more are what make a band and a song. bands are not stupid, especially if they click. the thought of a solo person filing the whole scene is ridiculous, and, to me most times disappointing.

Sounds synthetic plastic. It's crap!! Getting a three man band to gell is very difficult.

Mate, I've done both for the past 40 years and believe me, You need to pull on Different Sets Of Skills, Talents & Expertise to do one or the other ! Of course there's nothing like a full band, but in a full band you DO have FAR LESS components to worry about AND far fewer hats to wear !!

@@josephbusuttil3030 woooo. i meant nothing personal. i guess im a little biased. i played in the 80s when all the clubs started hiring one man bands for half the price. people still came just to socialize, and they saved bucks while bands started cutting each others throat to get gigs. just local stuff. (im in northeast u.s.) i havent played in years. most ceremonies around here now are djs. lots of people in cities, especially music recording towns, do the one man thing to get exposure. like i said when there is a full band you get a certain flavor, recipe, you dont get with a solo act.

In my day, it had come down to Duos, with a beat box, unless you could afford to pay for a drummer, yes synthetic “bands” sound sterile, but they said Depeche Mode would never make it, as well. So much of music boils down to how much can one tolerate , and for how long !?

Yikes. 😁 That‘s something you may have expected some 12 to 15 years back. 👨‍🦳 Today there are developments like Loopy Pro that not only make for much better sounding and more professionally usable and more versatile setups, but more affordable ones, too. And who would want to invest in a car load of more or less awkward pedals when there are much better and cheaper units that make all the functionality available in one box? Maybe you‘ll want to step out of your time machine for a minute and have a closer look at today‘s stuff? ✌️😎🎸

@@MunicipalManMusicMedia YEP, YEP & YEP .... Laptop screws Up, THEN what do they do - I'm not knocking modern tech, I'm tech savvy myself, but relying on ONE box fits all is really flying by the seat of your pants ... a bit like putting all your eggs in the one basket as they say ! I'll stick to my trusty Hardware over the more fallible Software route and day !
