I don’t know my man, Lucci’s design is actually really cool. But the fact that Luffy isn’t taking him seriously shows how big the power differences is compared to last time they fought. The Manga actually did just fine with this fight. I feel like what the anime will do better than the Manga is the Kizaru fight imo. *THAT* Speed Feat is gonna be INSANE

@@PKLO9727 I agree that Lucci isn't doing any damage and Luffy is dodging everything. I mean that the anime helps in making Lucci's durability stand out. He can take Luffy on in the sense he isn't getting 1 shot like he is a goon. Luffy was also toying with Kaido during their fight, and you could contribute that to being a part of his powers. I loved the way they animated the reveal of his Devil Fruit Awakening because it made him seem like a huge deal and he wasn't taking any massive physical damage from Luffy either. Despite him not being able to hit him back at all.

I think the only issues I've had with the anime recently (because the pacing of this episode was real good) was the Jimbe knowing warrior of liberation (not canon) and the whitewashing of all the darker characters (colors are just inconsistent since time skip started. Also who does or doesn't have conqueror's haki getting confusing if you don't read the manga lol.

But look at his change in expression. When Luffy transforms he cant help to smile. He feels the thrills he feels the pure joy of fighting nikka exudes. When he difference gets clear and Nikka shows him that he is the hunter in this fight (the demon eye scene) Lucci is so fing hurt in his pride and really need to reassert himself as the predator in this fight.
